Question ThreeWhat have you learned from your

audience feedback?

Page 2: Question three

• Our audience feedback questionnaire has helped me find out some errors in our trailer.

•This should not have happened, as we should have watched the film first to ensure we had no mistakes which were noticeable.

•Instead, we watched the skipping trailer on the Adobe Premiere Elements software, which masked the accidental placing of random flashing images of other parts of the film from us.

•When we had uploaded the trailer to the disk, we put it straight into the DVD player in the empty classroom, without checking it through first.

Page 3: Question three

• This is something I have learned from doing an audience feedback questionnaire, which I will remember if I have to do a similar project in the future.

•This mistake affected the question on our trailer questionnaire about our projects professionalism. Most people chose the Bad Amateur level of production.

•We could have got a better answer on this question if we had realised our mistake before we showed our target audience the trailer.

•We could have also saved time as we wouldn’t have had to show the trailer twice to our audience if we had checked the trailer beforehand.

Page 4: Question three

• We found that our target audience likes to hear a voice over in trailers from the first audience feedback questionnaire we created •We ignored this demand, for the main reason that we assumed our trailer would appeal more without the voice over, as we all liked it better without it.

•We found out during our trailer audience feedback questionnaire, that this was not the case for the rest of our target audience.

•We used this feedback to change our trailer and add a voice over to our product.

Page 5: Question three

• We received some feedback from our teacher, which was to add more titles to our trailer to make it look like a trailer more.•I looked at other trailers to help us get the conventions of a trailer into our trailer. I designed the two titles, which we put at the beginning of our trailer

•We also added the names of actors to our trailer

We asked our teacher what she thought about the improvements, and she said it was definitely an improvement

Page 6: Question three

• Without our audience feedback:

We would not have been able to improve the quality of our trailers production to a standard which our audience wants to see.

Page 7: Question three

• I have learnt that WE can give our own personal feedback, and class it as audience feedback•Feedback in our group has been a vital part of us achieving a finished trailer and ancillary products.

•It was an on-going process of feedback, which we gave to each other all of the time to improve the quality of our products.

Page 8: Question three

• I have also learnt that I should stick to what results and actions audience feedback questionnaires show.

This is because they are the opinion of the people who we want to be attracted to the trailer, and not doing something they said they would like, will affect the success of our product.
