• Nearly all question words in English start with the same two letters – WH.

• That's why questions with question words are also called WH-questions.

Use

• We use the question words when we want to get specific or more information.

• They are different than Yes/No questions.

• We have the next question words.

• We use WHO when we want to ask about people.

• We use WHOSE when we want to ask about ownership or possession.

• We use HOW MUCH/MANY when we want to ask about number, quantity or price.

A:I drink only one glass.

* We use MUCH with uncountable nouns and MANY with countable nouns.
