constructing this product?

Microsoft WordMicrosoft Word was extremely helpful for the writing used in my magazine especially my double page spread as it included a lot of text. The helpful thing about Microsoft word was that it has spell check therefore it made sure my text was grammatically correct, after making sure it was it was easy to just copy and paste the text into photoshop.

Microsoft Excel I used excel to put my data into graphs so that it was easier to recognize the trends to specific questions. I was common with this program therefore is was easy for me to use. After creating the graphs I had to copy and paste them into a PowerPoint presentation so that I could analyze my readings. This was also very simple to do, which helped me clearly understand what my audiences preferred in a music magazine.

PowerPoint PowerPoint was very helpful in collecting and present information on a particular topic. It was mostly helpful in my evaluation as it was a simple way to present a question through a PowerPoint as I was able to add images, voice clips and videos to make my point clearer. Additionally I was able to analyze my points further by adding a ‘Text Box’.However I did struggle with adding audio and video to my power point as I had to change the format to make it compatible with power point. This required me to use programs such as ‘Switch’ in order to convert the format.

USBUSB was a very important device for creating my media product as it helped my save and protect my work as well as this I was able to use it to transfer my work between different computers. Using a USB was the only was to do these things as I couldn’t save it on the school computers as there would be a high possibility that the work would be lost plus I couldn’t send the work to myself as Photoshop files take up too much memory.

Blogger

Blogger was new to me as I had never made a website before. However it was very easy to use. Using Blogger was very helpful in gathering up all my work for my project, without Blogger my work wouldn’t be as neatly presented. Blogger allowed me to embed work from different sites, which was vital in order for me to add things such as PowerPoint's to my blog. I could also edit my posts, which was crucial for me as my work kept on changing. The only thing that I didn’t appreciate about Blogger was not being able to easily reorder posts as at times I uploaded my work randomly but then I had to go back and change the date of the posts in order for them to appear in a more understanding order, rearranging them in this way was very time consuming.

SlideShareSlideShare was very helpful in enabling me to upload my PowerPoint's then embedding them into my Blog. I was also able to go back to the website and download my PowerPoint's if I needed to improve them in any way.

Adobe PhotoshopAdobe photoshop was what I primarily used to create my media product, as it was useful for manipulating images and text into making them look as realistic as possible. During the begging of when the task was set I found it very difficult to use Photoshop however I improved after watching tutorials and trying and improving things myself.

PhotoshopOne tool that was particularly helpful in photoshop was the use of grids and rules. This helped me layout my work in a neat way thus making it look more professional.

Edirol And Adobe Audition

In order to get some audience research edrols very extremely handy as they enabled me to record my audiences questions as a result saving me more time as I wouldn’t have to write down the answers.

I was then able to connect the edrol to a computer and upload the audio file to Adobe Audition where I could cut out any unnecessary parts of the interview.
