Audience

My audience will be parents and pupils of the school the magazine is based on. This means the magazine will have to be formal and informative but easy to navigate. It will be entertaining for younger viewers, but the text will be formal and professional so it will appeal to the older audience like the parents. Students should be entertained with the magazine, whilst also giving them information about what is happening in the school that they might want to know about. Parents would more look towards the information parts so they know what kinds of things their children so apart from what they know there children do at school and what to prepare for in the near future like mufti days or out of school activities. The magazine may encourage pupils to make a lifestyle change and start a new hobby by advertising after school activities throughout the magazine which could potentially be very effective in changing their habits. The magazine will be published online with no cost so it reaches the most amount of people in an easy to access method and will be advertised on the schools homepage.

Context

The media text represents the school and the students attending it. They are represented as young school children and seen to be achieving things in and out of the school. This puts a good light on the school and the pupils in it. There will be no stereotypes because it is a magazine for children and adults showing a wide range of students in the school and how well they are doing so it has to be very honest and politically correct. Success can be measured by shares on social media sites such as Facebook or twitter if the school

posts the magazine on those pages.
