SECURING OUR FUTURE–St. Joseph Capital Campaign

As of 3/3/2016, we have received 124 pledges for a total

pledge amount of $227,635.48. Of that amount pledged, we

have received $125,256.48 in cash.

envelopes to make payments to your pledge amount <<<<<

Reflections on the readings Today we hear one of the most beloved

stories in the Gospel of Luke, Jesus’ parable of the Prodigal Son.

Reconciliation is a prominent theme. Seeing the younger son returning

to him, the son who left the family and squandered his inheritance, the compassionate father

runs to embrace him. Jesus offers us a vision of a loving God who is merciful and forgiving,

welcoming us back when we remorsefully return to him. When was a time that I left God’s

presence through my own sinfulness? Did I humbly and sorrowfully repent of my actions? How am

I using this time of Lent to humbly atone for my sins? Will I eagerly celebrate the sacrament of

reconciliation in the next few weeks to experience God’s loving embrace and forgiveness?

Questions of the Week To whom will I behave like our forgiving, welcoming, and reconciling

God? How? Whom have I judged by appearances? How can I let them know this week that from

now on I see them in light of the same mercy with which God sees all of us?

We extend a warm welcome to

all who attend our church!
