Description of Microinverter Solar System

Microinverters are installed on the mounting rack behind the solar modules. For each Solar panel there is one microinverter which converts DC power from PV module into high quality AC power for supply to electrical grid.Microinverters are connected in parallel to AC cable.

Sungate communicates over Wi-Fi with Letrika microinverters. It receives performance data, all data are securely saved in internal memory and on SD card. All the data can be viewed and analyzed trough any web browser. Performance of each PV module is controlled individually.

Installation

1. Mounting Microinverter Ensure that the data on the label on the microinverter match those of PV panel and AC grid. Check PV module voltage and current range are compatible. Mark the center of each PV module for positioning of Microinverter. Attach the Microinverter on racking with two M8 or M6 screws and sliding blocks, label on microinverter must face up We strongly suggest to place microinverter at least 15mm bellow the panel surface and to leave at least 20mm between inverter and underneath surface to avoid panel heating and microinverter overheating

Cabling system Use portrait cable or landscape cable, lay trunk cable on the location required, connector must be aligned with location of microinverters. Chech that maximum number of inverters in branch is not exceeded Securely fasten cable with tie racks or clips to the mounting rack

2. Connecting

Connection of microinvertersAC connection connect microinverter to AC trunk cable terminate end of the cable with End Cap, unused connector must be covered with Waterproof cap connect the other side of the trunk cable to junction box ground each micro-inverter according to local standards

Before connecting cables test the continuity of cables and isolation resistance of cables and the whole system.

DC connection Connect DC cables from PV module to microinverters, be sure of type of DC connector, must be MC4, ensure that connectors are securely locked

Documenting Use one of two labels with serial numbers to identify exact location of micro-inverter, place on the sheet to show physical location of the panels.

Commissioning

Switch on AC miniature circuit breaker in junction box. Switch on main AC breaker.

Communications Plug in Sungate and connect to internet with Ethernet cable. Check Sungate display AC grid is not necessary for communication between microinverters and gateway check the strength of communication If signal is weak install the repeater Set up monitoring system Sungate? Follow Sungate instructions for the new installation

Notify the Letrika Sol support team that the installation has be set Send to Letrika Sol after installation.
