Connect the AC power cord to the printer. Do not connect the interface cable. 3 Plug the AC power cord into an AC outlet. Turn the power switch on. 4 After the printer has finished warming up, the READY message appears. 5 Press the Go switch. The printer prints a test page. Check that the test page has printed correctly. Note: When you want to set the Control Panel message language, refer to the Control Panel section on the reverse side of this sheet. 2 Make sure the side guide lock lever is set to the "unlocked" position. 3 While pressing the release lever of the side guide (1), slide the side guide wide open (2). 4 Align the right side of the paper stack and load it into the paper tray. 5 While pressing the release lever of the side guide (1), align the side guide for the loaded paper size (2). 6 Set the side guide lock to the "locked" position. 7 While pushing the release lever of the rear guide (1), align the rear guide for the loaded paper size (2). 8 Adjust the paper size dial to match the loaded paper size (1). Slide the paper tray into the printer (2). 2 While pushing the green lever down (1), hold the handle and slide the toner holder out slightly (2). 3 Release the green lever and slide the toner holder out gently until it stops. 4 Rock the toner bottle gently several times (1), and remove the black lid (2). 5 Put the toner bottle in the toner holder (1), then push the top of the bottle downwards to lock it in place (2). 6 Slide the toner holder into the printer until it clicks into place and then push the green handle down. 7 Close the front cover. 1 Remove the tapes. 2 Slide paper tray 2 out. 3 Release the side guide lock lever (1) and then slide the side guide while pressing the release lever (2). 4 Remove the tape and the cardboard. 5 Take the toner bottle out of paper tray 2. 6 Slide paper tray 1 out. 7 Repeat Steps 3 and 4 above on paper tray 1. 8 Slide paper tray 1 and 2 into the printer until they stop. 9 Open the front cover. 10 Remove the red tag, the metal fitting and the two tags. Quick Setup GuideLaser Printer HL-3260N

Continue to the reverse side.

1 Lift the green handle.

1 Slide the paper tray out.

1 Set the paper sensor. 2 Make sure that the printer power switch is off. Connect the AC power cord to the printer.Do not connect the interface cable.

3 Plug the AC power cord into an AC outlet. Turn the power switch on.

Step 5 Connect the Printer to your PC & Install the Driver

1 Turn the printer power switch off. 2 Connect the interface cable to your PC and then connect it to the printer.

3 Turn the printer and your PC power switch on.

4 Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.The opening screen will appear automatically.

Note: If the "Add New Hardware Wizard" appears, click the Cancel button.

9 Select "Standard installation" and click the Next button.

10 Select "Local printer" and click the Next button.

11 Select the port your printer is connected to and then click the Next button.

12 Click the Finish button.

The setup is now complete.
