QUILTERS’ CORNER NEWSLETTER SUMMER 2015 9792 B BUSINESS PARK DRIVE, SACRAMENTO, CA 95827 916-366-6136 website:quilterscornersac.com SUMMER 2015 open house is Sunday, June 28 th noon to 4pm If you’ve been by the store and it looks like we are closed, we are NOT! We are, however, under construction. The entire building is in the process of renovation. It is going to be fabulous, but in the meantime, please have patience with the mess. Nothing will stop us from ordering fabric and planning fun extracurricular activities. In August, we’re having two special events, our annual “STASH SALE” of quilting paraphernalia on Sunday, August 2nd, and our yearly Customer Appreciation Sale on Saturday, August 22nd. Everything in the store will be discounted at 15 % off purchases less than $50, 20% off of $50-$100 and 25 % off of $100 or more. In October, we will be taking a bus to PIQF on the 17 th of October. Come in, or call in with your credit card and sign up as soon as possible, as it fills fast. Now, on to the reason we all shop: The Fabric! Our Kaffe Fassett collection is growing weekly and we have added shot cotton. It is never too early for you to start your holiday projects and guess what? Believe it or not, we have started to receive both Halloween and Christmas fabrics. From Moda’s French General, we will be receiving the entire collection of “Joyeux Noel” which does not read Christmas per se. It is a collection of 19 th century antique French prints inspired by the simple color combination of red and natural. The new Laundry Basket collection from Edyta Sitar is called “Cold Spell”. It is a chilly pallet filled with winter shades of blues with soft and delicate lights, some with snowflake images, oth- ers with subtle florals perfect for a soothing winter creation. The batiks are too numerous to mention individually, but keep your eye out for the packages of 2 1/2” strips from Island batiks with luscious names like Juicy Juice, Nectar and Milkshake. There are Tonga Treats from Timeless Treasures and new Bali Pops from Hoffman not to mention the many bolts we receive weekly. Wool is getting to be a big thing! We have a Sue Spargo class “Bird Dance” that started in March. You can start anytime and make a couple of birds a month. Come in and see the sample. Patty is teaching a wool club. They are working on a block of the month, culminating in a wonderful bucket. We have all kinds of special wools on the shelves hand dyed by Sue Spargo and the Wild Hare. Start you own new project, or finish one you have started. Linda Ballard will be back in August to teach her Hip to be Square Quilt. Tracy Souza, of Plum- cute Designs, is teaching her new pattern “Bittersweet” . We are participating this year in the Row by Row Experience with an adorable row that you can pick up between June 21 st and Sept 8 th .
