    Fruit BasketFromthecollectionofSandraL.Hatch

    Fabric baskets are favorites among quilters, as evidenced by the variety of

    basket patterns created in the 1930s. The Fruit Basket design is known

    by several other names, the most common being the Cake Stand.

    The amount of quilting on this basket quilt shows that the person

    who made this treasured heirloom loved to quilt.
