Sincerely,
Salutations, my
dear officers!
With the final
homestretch of the
service year, we have
two big district events
still to go: The District
Eliminate Games, and
the 69th Annual
District Convention.
But on a divisional
level, we will have an
awards dinner in
March and possibly
another divisionwide
event in February!
And this Saturday?
Lieutenant Governor
elections! There’s some
tough competition, so
it’s going to be rather
interesting...
See you all this
Saturday for our
Elections/PCM!

Key Club has been a great part of my life
since my brother explained the immense amount of
activities I could volunteer in through years as a
member in Key Club. Attending
monthly meetings, helping the
executive board, and finally being
the head of the executive board
after two years as a general mem-
ber has put a smile on my face.
I am honored to serve as
the vice president and officer of
the month for Key Club, and I
look forward to making the Key
Club in my school reach its full
potential and continue to be great
for years to come.
Hey, my name is Denisse Peralta and volunteer-
ing is my life! I'm 17 years old and a junior, but that
doesn't stop me from making a difference in my town! I
don't believe in joining a variety
of clubs but to join as many
clubs in which you will be able
to make a difference.
My town has plenty of
activities during October
through December. For exam-
ple, Winter Fest takes place eve-
ry December and all ages of peo-
ple enjoy it. I have been going
to this event since I was five
years old, and now have the
pleasure to lead others.

Key Leader is an
amazing weekend for high
school students who
want to be leaders. The
camp focuses on helping
you improve qualities such
as leadership, integrity,
growth, and respect—all
crucial in the makings of a
good Key Clubber.
Throughout the
weekend, you meet people
from all over New Jersey.
You listen to inspiring lec-
tures and stories, and partici-
pate in bonding activities
that are fun and silly, but
teach you the importance of
communication and coopera-
tion. You also have time to
relax, socialize, and partake
in camp-like activities such as
making s’mores. (Yum!)
At first, a three day
camp experience with
strangers may seem intimi-
dating, but
you are wel-
comed and
made com-
fortable right
away.
Throughout
the weekend, you break
off into your neighbor-
hood groups for activities.
I was in a group called the
“Spontaneous Combust-
ing Bunnies” and from
creating a song, drawing a
poster, to coming up with
plans to help theoretical
communities, we laughed
a lot and bonded like
family.

New Jersey: 12,000 Key Clubbers, 23 lieutenant governors. Who are these 23 lieutenant governors?
Every newsletter, I will feature three lieutenant governors and ask them one question.
This newsletter’s question: Why have you stayed with Key Club for so long?

Meet the Neighbors
Tracy Vollbrecht
Division 8 LTG
I've stayed with Key Club for
so long because of the amazing
opportunities to serve, lead,
and help others that Key Club
has provided me with!
Throughout my Key Club
career, I have also met many
great people and made many
great friends. I’ve had so many
amazing, fun experiences
through Key Club, and will
continue to stay with this or-
ganization.
Brittany Kraft
Division 6 LTG
I think the real question here is
why wouldn't I stay with Key
Club! Key Club has been an
opportunity to grow as a person
and as a leader. Through Key
Club, I have been able to chal-
lenge myself with new positions
while having the time of my life.
My home club, my division, and
my district are my family; I
could never leave this amazing
organization.
Ali Perri
Division 5 LTG
There really is no absolute rea-
son why I have stayed within
Key Club—there just hasn’t
ever been a reason for me to
leave. I joined Key Club dur-
ing my sophomore year be-
cause my older sister had been
a part of it at the time. Since
that day when I decided to
join her at a Key Club meet-
ing, it has become a part of
who I am and nobody can ever
take that away from me.

Although I have been in U.S.
for only three years, Key Club
allowed me to be part of Amer-
ican society and to become a
servant leader. I love service
and people I meet through Key
Club are simply amazing. I will
continue to serve others be-
cause I want to return all the
benefits I earned from Key
Club. Key Club truly brings
inspiration, motivation, and
an opportunity for a change.
