The regular meeting agenda was adopted with the following additions: Work requests (2); Added Correspondence/ Info. Meeting minutes for July 24, 2019 were adopted. Reports Cheque List: Cheques and online payments in the total amount of $275,877.45 were approved. A number of Late In- voices were also approved for payment. Financial Statement: The Cartwright-Roblin Municipal- ity financial statement for the period ended July 31, 2019 was accepted as circulated and ap- proved. Reserve Transfer: Cart- wright-Roblin Municipal- ity purchased a 2018 Kubota Mower from Drummond’s Farm Services Ltd. in the amount of $16,432.20 + tax(es); Coun- cil authorized a transfer in the amount of $16,432.20 from the Equipment Replacement Re- serve Fund to the General Op- erating Fund as detailed in the current financial plan. Pay Charitable Donations: Donations were received from individuals or organizations by way of general receipts were distributed as directed to the Ponderosa Days Committee. Overdue Accounts Utility: A number of overdue account(s) plus applicable interest, re- maining unpaid at the last day of the current month were slat- ed to be added to the tax roll for collection. Supplementary Tax Notices: Sections 300(6) and 326 of the Municipal Act provide for tax roll corrections; Council autho- rized the calculation of tax roll corrections as per the lists of supplementary and reduced as- sessments provided by Manito- ba Municipal Government As- sessment Services dated August 13, 2019 as follows: Roll # Assessment Activity #14600 Added Pole Shed #60900 Removed Mobile Home and Bins, Added New House and Garage #4900 Added Pole Shed “It’s too sunny!” Rory was right – it was too sunny to get a good picture of the Kindergarden students while out on their Terry Fox Walk on Monday. But at least it wasn’t raining, as it had been on the scheduled day. The class includes six little boys, here with Mrs. Dousselaere, and one little girl who is coming along behind them. The three-man scramble golf tournament was another event post- poned by rain. This one was scheduled for Saturday, but that day was very soggy, and it was moved to Sunday. While there were fewer teams than usual (about 60 golfers), they had a nice day. The winners were Bill Cantlon and his sons Derek and Justin, who are grandsons of Don Bridges. This tournament is the Bridges Memorial event, named for brothers Don and Ken Bridges. Another season of Home Routes concerts is set to begin. These concerts, although host- ed in private homes, are open to everyone. Doll and Scott Mow- bray and Michelle and Troy Stozek are sharing hosting du- ties for this series. 100% of the ticket sales go straight to the artist, supporting their ability to make a living, making mu- sic accessible on a grass roots level. The concerts include two sets of music with a short inter- mission. Concert dates are as follows. • Sunday, Oct 20 - Christi- na Martin, Roots/Pop/Rock/ American from Nova Scotia at Troy & Michelle’s. • Saturday, Nov 16 - Peter Paul Van Camp & Steve Cormier, Cowboy songs & poetry from BC & New Mexico at Doll & Scott’s. • Saturday, Feb 1 - Sweet Alibi, Folk/Roots from Winnipeg at Troy & Michelle’s. • Sunday, March 1 - Suzie Vin- nick, Roots/Blues from Ontario at Scott & Doll’s. • Tuesday, March 31 - Gang- spil, Nordic Folk Music from Copenhagen, Denmark at Troy & Michelle’s. • Wednesday, April 29 - Ve- randa, Bluegrass/Country from Montreal at Scott & Doll’s.
