Before making an appointment ask the client to call into the salon to have their hair measured ensuring it is a full 14inchs when it is straightened. Hair has to be virgin hair; we do not accept coloured or chemically treated hair.

Ask the client to shampoo, condition and blow-dry their hair the night before or the day of the hair cut before arriving to the salon. When they arrive in salon the stylist will straighten their hair prior to cutting.

Tie the hair up by placing bobbins securely along the hair; measure to make sure the hair is 14 inch’s straightened. Cut the hair above the 14ichs ensuring there is a bobbin at either side of where you are cutting so that the hair stays together after it has been cut.

Restyle the hair to the preferred style of the client (free of charge)

The Ponytail is now the responsibility of the donor or guardian if under 18 years old.

Once the hair is cut the donor takes it home.

We suggest the donor places the ponytail in a sandwich bag or tissue paper in a secure envelope, with their FULL NAME AND POSTAL ADDRESS, so we can send a thank you card as confirmation we received the hair, then post it to the address
