From the President’s Desk:

I want to start the discussion about the need for new officers in January. While I have enjoyed be-ing president, 2 terms is enough for POTUS and is enough for me. The main things I have been tasked with have been pleasurable, introducing speakers, delegating tasks and working with the outreach commit-tee. COMMUNITY OUTREACH REVMA TEAM UPDATE:

The Love me Fix me- spay/ neuter voucher program is up and running. James Dress at the Sonoma Animal Services is still waiting to hear from the Veterinarians who committed to being a part of the program but have not turned in their enrollment form. We are having a bit of back log of clients due to the paper work, but hope to be full steam ahead soon. We thank all those who are participating and the positive energy we have received. Animal Services has not mounted any full scale advertis-ing yet until we are comfortable that all is functioning in good order with the hospitals. So, if any problems questions, please contact James Dress 565-7113 or myself at 707 321-7696,[email protected] Check out the website: theanimalshelter.org. Eventually those hospitals who are participating will be listed on this website and a link to your website will be possible. Also they have a couple of good handouts titled: Top 10 reasons to spay or neuter your Pet and Spay and Neuter Myths. These might be good to go along with the brochure about the program that I will be getting to you in a few weeks as a part of your welcome packet. Any procedures that you have completed don't forget to send in your reimbursement forms as soon as possible. We should have more details to follow next newsletter regarding the Potential REVMA Medical As-sistance Program The committee is working on a comprehensive list of all Veterinarians working in Sonoma County and this should allow us opportunity for further outreach by our organization. Pete Henriksen has been working directly with Compassion without Borders and will give us an up-date next newsletter. Nancy Walters, DVM
