However, suspecting the foul play, the police is investigating the case. e mother has al- leged that 70-year- old man lives in their neighborhood and is a Non Residential Indian. She told police that on Tuesday evening, the six year year old was playing outside the home when the old man lured her with candies and took the girl child along with him. Mother of the girl also alleged that man then raped her. She alleged that the suspect thrashed her daughter and asked her to keep mum. e mother further alleged that her daughter started complaining for having pain in abdomen following which they took her to hospital and got to know that she was raped. SSP Khanna Navjot Singh Mahal meanwhile said that matter is being probed. “e mother is changing her statements. Earlier, she said that one old man who lives in neighbourhood raped the girl but now, she is claiming involvement of three more persons. So, we are verifying the allegations. e medical report is also awaited to confirm if it was rape or attempt to rape or mo- lestation.” SSP told that FIR will be registered after medical report and mother confirms her statement.
