Annual Sports Gala 2019 at LLU
Ninth Foundation Day Celebrations, 2019
Campus life at LLU is rich in curricular and co-curricular activities. Seminars, motivational talks, guest speakers,
poster and research project exhibitions, debates, music galas, Qawali events, Naat and Qirat competitions and a lot
more is frequently happening at the campus. All this along with academic endeavors and research activities create an
atmosphere which demands careful documentation and record. In fact it is a path which leads to success and glory and
has to be preserved segment by segment for future generations to learn from our successes and failures, of course. LLU
believes in truth and practice of honesty. It is for this reason that the University has decided to launch a newsletter of its
own that will depict true picture of happenings at the University Campus.
LLU recognizes the need of playing its role in the development of Pakistan, since its inception in January 2011. The
University has succeeded in creating an atmosphere in which students are exploring their talent at the optimum level. It
is a lively atmosphere where learning, creation of knowledge and festivities go with hand in hand. Week long
celebrations of Foundation Day in the first month of the year marked a cheerful opening of student life at the campus.
The whole week was full of excitement and provided opportunities to students for testing their talent in various
domains like drama, poetry, music, debates, sports, exhibition of research projects and other competitions. The second
last day of celebrations witnessed a Mushaira attended by celebrated poets like Amjad Islam Amjad, Nazeer Qaisar
and Abbas Tabish. The week concluded with a beautiful musical evening glorified by renditions of none other but
Abrar ul Haq.
LLU is cognizant of the fact that prosperity of Pakistan depends upon the ability of its people to learn and to innovate.
Innovation is the motto of the University, a bastion of innovation; we all believe it to be. Distinction achieved by Ms
Jawaria Abbas is an evidence for this.
The environment at the University campus plays a catalytic role in making students fully awake to the developments
taking place in their respective fields of study. They are encouraged to learn together but are trained in thinking
individually and critically for seeking solutions to the problems they might have to confront in their professional life.
The projects they undertake and complete, individually or in groups, give them the confidence to accomplish the
results and tackle the issues with modesty and honor.

An educational institution is nothing more than a factory
producing graduates if it is not governed by visionary
leadership. It is the approach of the leadership of an
organization that leads it towards raising prominent figures
who make their mark in different walks of the society.
Lahore Leads University has been lucky enough to
have Prof. Khairat Ibne Rasa as its first Vice
Chancellor when it was established in 2011. It was
the impact of his leadership that various notable
and experienced scholars from different fields of
study joined the university in the very
beginning.Today, when he is not among us, it is the
time to remember and befittingly acknowledge his
services for the University. Being the founder Vice
Chancellor, he established the departments, instituted the offices
and acquired the services of highly capable faculty. Leads can
never forget his contribution and his name will always be a source
of motivation for his successors. May his soul rest in peace!
