Eden Camp is a family owned and run business

that started over 30 years ago.

Since opening in 1987, we have preserved a

unique historical site and given it new life by

developing the museum into an

award winning attraction and the associated

archive into a resource of nationalhistorical importance.

Eden Camp does not have charitable status,

does not receive any funding or tax breaks

and is funded by you, the visitor.

With your support, we can ensure that the

memory of all of those who have served in

HM Forces and made the ultimate

sacrifice to ensure liberty and freedom

endures for future generations.

DID YOU KNOW?

250 Italian POW began the construction of Eden

Camp in 1942. Once completed, over 1000 prisoners

could be held at any one time.--------

The POW at Eden Camp were mainly employed in

farming in the surrounding area and for the most

part, got on well with the local population.

--------

The last German Prisoners of War were not

repatriated until 1948. Many chose not to return

home and made a life for themselves in Britain.

--------

The prisoners at Eden Camp were easily identified

by large yellow diamond shaped patches worn on

their jackets and trousers.

Lest we forget

A TRIBUTE TO THE PEOPLE OF WWIIExperience the hardship, the drama and the humour of thoseunforgettable years.
