Close to the city of Rimini, the Misano Adriático circuit was constructed in 1972 and has since undergone an array of modifications. A regular scene for Italian Grands Prix throughout the 80s and early 90s, Misano returned to the MotoGP calendar in 2007.With updated facilities, track and grandstands, the Misano Adriatico holds a maximum capacity of 60,000 spectators. In accordance with MotoGP safety regulations, the 4,200m track runs clockwise for the World Championship races. In der Nähe der Stadt Rimini wurde der Misano Adriático Circuit 1972 errichtet und hat sich seitdem vielen Umbauten unterzogen. Als regulärer Austragungsort des Italienischen Grand Prix in den 80er und 90er Jahren, kehrt Misano nun 2007 in den MotoGP Kalender zurück. Mit modernen Anlagen, Piste und Tribünen, bietet die Misano Adriatico Platz für maximal 60.000 Zuschauer. In Erfüllung der MotoGP Sicherheitsrichtlinien werden auf der 4.200m langen Strecke die Rennen der Weltmeisterschaft im Uhrzeigersinn gefahren werden. Théatre des Grands Prix d’Italie dans les années 1980 et aux débuts des années 1990, Misano a fait son retour sur le calendrier MotoGP en 2007. Le circuit peut accueillir jusqu’à 70 000 spectateurs suite à la modernisation de ses infrastructures et afin de respecter les règles de sécurité du MotoGP, le Championnat du Monde utilise le tracé de 4,2 km dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre

Dunlop Introduces Next Evolution Of moto2 tyre For Misano

Dunlop is continuing its development programme by introducing two new Moto2 tyres for the San Marino Grand Prix with riders having the choice of a new front and rear option. The tyres are evolutions of the existing range and will be known as ‘Medium 2’ (front) and ‘Medium 3’ (rear). The new tyres have been tested extensively at a diverse range of circuits including at Jerez, Valencia, Almeria, Paul Ricard, Brno, Mugello and Catalunya. This testing, using a range of chassis and riders has provided encouraging feedback so Dunlop have chosen to introduce these new tyres at this Grand Prix. Both of the new options feature an evolution of the construction but use the same compound as their predecessors. The Misano circuit has ten right and six left corners One of the characteristics of this coastal venue is a wide range of temperatures, which means that teams look for tyres with wider operating windows . The ‘302’ and ‘9855’ have already proved to be very versatile this season and, combined with the new options, aim to give riders the choice they need for the best performance whatever conditions prevail.
