Overall plan for weekend

• Saturday• 10.30 – start of race at Dorinish buoy• Sail to Leenane (35nm – arriving at around 17.00)• 18.00 - BBQ in the hotel• Sunday • 11.00 - depart for Inishturk (16nm from Leenane)• 15.00 - Start of race at Inishturk Harbour • 17.00 Finish of Race around Inishturk (dist 8nm)• 18.00 – meal in the Community Centre, stew, €10/head• Monday – sail back to Rosmoney

Safest way is to go due south until you see the beacons

Sailing Directions

• No problem to Roonagh

• No problem after Inishbearna

• The middle bit is the the tricky bit

• Do not go amongst the rocks without a working chartplotter & depth guage

• Tune to VHF Channel 12 for fleet news

Race around Inishturk

• There is a cup for the winner

• Keep 0.5 mile off shore, and you will be clear of any rocks.

• We will request that pots or nets be moved before the weekend.

• There will be a few visitors moorings (4), so be prepared to anchor.
