RoNIX traffic

about 25 Gbps at the peak daily (max.peak 30 Gbps)

Flexible vs. Rigid (a compromise)

- Potential members - Evaluation (details…) - Accept or Reject Traffic didn’t grow so fast, but … Keeping an ANISP STANDARD (less traffic but business oriented)

Can you see an IX in the picture ?

Aerial cables

Peering on the pole was cheaper but the IX is not counting the traffic

Consequences…

RoNIX big issue NetCity – a company, a project ANISP Association – help with the project Planned price – 85 euro/km/month Final price (the surprise) – 185 euro/km/month !!! Results: - Bankrupt providers - Less members (decreased from 35 to 29) - Waste of money in trials

Future plans • More international providers (corporate policy – one big pipe to IX) • More content providers • Network upgrade planned (20 Gbps to 40 Gbps between PoP’s)

We are waiting for you !
