Raid Report 2018 - 19 “Bajaj Auto started Spare Parts Anti-Counterfeiting initiative with police assistance in October November 2010. This action is initiated to check the activities of unscrupulous traders and manufacturers of spurious auto parts using the Bajaj brand logo and trademark. During the financial year 2017-18 Bajaj Auto has conducted 27 raids comprising of 50 retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers & packers. Taking the initiative further, Bajaj Auto has conducted 22 raids in the following towns during the current financial year. o Delhi o Chennai o Mumbai o Ahmedabad o Coimbatore o Kolkata o Kanpur o Ferozepur Recently a raid was conducted on 20th July 2018. Successful raid action was concluded on counterfeit Bajaj lubricant oil manufacturing site in Kolkata. This site was engaged in production of counterfeit lubricant oil of different grades of Bajaj Genuine Oil. The details are as under Warehouse at 90B, K.B. Katra (kella Bajan Katra), Kolkata-700 007 Thousands of filled counterfeit plastic containers containing counterfeit Bajaj lubricant oil & Empty counterfeit Bajaj branded plastic containers / plastic container caps / labels / stickers of engine Oil bearing ‘Bajaj Brand’ were seized. The accused has been arrested by the police and remanded in police custody till further orders of the Court. Criminal proceeding will start against the manufacturers of these spurious parts after they are produced in court. Counterfeit Engine Oil Bottles worth Rs. 15 Lacs were Seized in Above Kolkata Raid.
