Rail Vehicles

Rail Guidance System (RGS)Harrybilt Engineering’s own Rail Guidance System is fully compliant to AS7502 and can be fitted to Wheeled Excavators, Backhoe Loaders, Trucks and Light Vehicles. This rail system provides a stable and safe platform for the base vehicle to operate efficiently on Broad & Standard gauge or Narrow gauge rail line.Hydraulically deployed rail systems integrated into the main chassis of the base vehicle and is controlled andmonitored by a PLC system with a display mounted within the cabin.

Hi Rail SystemThe Hi Rail System is also fully compliant to AS7502 and adapts track excavators and trucks for rail applications. This rail system is triple gauge changeable and is propelled by hydraulic motors installed within the rail system.

The rail system is integrated into the main chassis and hydraulic deployment to rail is controlled and monitored by a PLC system with the display mounted within the cabin.

The S Series Rail MachineHarrybilt Engineering have partnered withHitachi to develop the S Series Rail Machine. This machine has been developed for the operator. Operators need a machine that can withstand the most severe working conditions while remaining safe, versatile, efficient and simple to operate. Harrybilt Engineering provide rail ready machines that are designed, built, tested and registered for most networks in Australia.

The Hi Brid Rail SystemBy listening to this customer feedback, Harrybilt Engineering designed and manufactured the Hi Brid Rail System to best suit the needs of the industry. The Hi Brid is set up the same as the Rail Guidance System; with the excavator’s tyers providing acceleration and braking on rail when running on standard gauge.On narrow gauge, the machine tyres contact a drum that drive the rail wheels. This is also known as a friction drive set-up.

Tiltrotators Network Registration Support

Harrybilt Engineering supply and install different brands of Tiltrotators for use on excavators for the rail and civil markets. The Tiltrotator, with 45 degrees of tilt and with full rotation, can be adapted to fit all machines on the market. Its flexibility and efficiency is ideal for rail application.We are experienced with the installation and servicing of both Engcon and Steelwrist Tiltrotator units.

Harrybilt Engineering have experience and accredited staff that are able to provide testing and network support for all types of Road Rail Vehicles for various rail networks in Australia. Testing is conducted with a range of testing equipment and a 60m triple gauge test track located on site.
