We predict that the stem will carry the water up to the flower which will cause it

• Water• Clear cups• White roses• Food coloring

• Pour 1 cup of water into each cup• Add 5 drops of food coloring to each cup• Place the white rose into the cup • Day 1

Conclusion

• As we suggested in our hypothesis, the majority of the class thought that the petals would change to the color of the water. We were correct.
