Aquasol Soil Test Kit (AE - STK)Soil testing is the analysis of a soil sample to determine it's composition, and other major nutrient characteristics. A soil test can determine fertility, or the expected growth potential of the soil which indicates nutrient deficiencies, potential toxicities. The advantages of testing are that excessive use of fertilizer can be avoided which results in reduction of Waste of plant & potential damage to environment can be controlled. Therefore it makes good sense to test the soil for these nutrients and add the required amount of fertilizer. Soil has to contain some major nutrient for the crops to be healthy. The major nutrients which need to be in adequate quantities for the soil to be productive and subsequently give a healthy crop are:

NITROGEN - Nitrogen encourages above ground vegetative growth & it serves as the source for the dark green color in the leaves of various crops.

PHOSPHOROUS - Phosphorus is a component of the complex nucleic acid structure of plants, which regulates protein synthesis. It is therefore, important in cell division and development of new tissue in roots.

POTASSIUM - Potassium takes care of multiple functions like Photosynthesis, Protein Synthesis, and Starch formation and for the translocation of Sugars. It also imparts resistance to the plant against Microbial attack and if deficient results in poor flowering and fruit formation.

onsite bacteria test & can be used virtually in any industry. BACTASLYDE has been found to be

reliable and compares well with conventional microbiological techniques. Such slides are in

regular usage, worldwide, for monitoring microbiological contamination. Our ready to use

Bacteria Test kit has media pouch with sterile container and supplied in a pack of 5 along

with the complete instructions set.

as green, felt-like mats in internal sections of cooling towers that are wet and accessible to sunlight. Algal growth is extremely unsightly and will reduce the efficiency of the cooling tower as a heat exchanger. Loosened deposits will block & foul pipe work & other heat exchange surfaces. The dead cells contribute to the formation of the complex organic material “Humus”which supports the growth of other microorganisms particularly the anaerobic types. Filamentous and capsulated colonial algae coat splash packing thus

interfering with the formation of droplets, which aid intimate contact of water and air. Algal growth prevents rainwater from wetting film packing and forming thin films which are detrimental to the rate of heat rejection. The medium used in BS 125 has been specially formulated for the growth of a wide variety of Algae species viz. green, bluegreen, brown, red etc. BS 125 is extremely easy to use. Just cut open media pouch and empty contents into the tube provided. Now add water sample to be tested upto red arrow mark. Place the tube on the Energy Source. Observe the colour of the tube every day, for 4 days.

Algae the plant like microorganisms are prolific invaders of the open exposed parts of cooling systems such as the tower & the pond areas. They will grow rapidly if conditions are right and only require light; CO & water to synthesize their growth. Algae are often visible 2

as green, felt-like mats in internal sections of cooling towers that are wet and accessible to sunlight. Algal growth is extremely unsightly and will reduce the efficiency of the cooling tower as a heat exchanger. Loosened deposits will block & foul pipe work & other heat exchange surfaces. The dead cells contribute to the formation of the complex organic material “Humus”which supports the growth of other microorganisms particularly the anaerobic types. Filamentous and capsulated colonial algae coat splash packing thus

interfering with the formation of droplets, which aid intimate contact of water and air. Algal growth prevents rainwater from wetting film packing and forming thin films which are detrimental to the rate of heat rejection. The medium used in BS 125 has been specially formulated for the growth of a wide variety of Algae species viz. green, bluegreen, brown, red etc. BS 125 is extremely easy to use. Sulphate-reducing bacteria (SRB) are those bacteria that can obtain energy by oxidizing organic compounds or molecular hydrogen while reducing sulphate to hydrogen sulphide. They are also know as sulphide generating bacteria (SGB) and commonly found in anaerobic environments where they aid in the degradation of organic materials like secondary oil recovery effluents, estuarine waters, deep wells, cooling waters, metalworking fluids, water-based hydraulic fluids, and petroleum based products. They can survive up to 60°C & cause pitting corrosion on metal structures that are exposed to sulphate-containing water by cathodic depolarization. Since sulphate is also found in some other formulations used in

wat e r t re at m e nt , v i z , co r ro s i o n inhibitors, coolants, etc. They also play a role in the anaerobic oxidation of methane below the seabed in the transition zone which leads to heavy production loss.

Sulphate acts as a hydrogen acceptor produces hydrogen sulphide and ferrous sulphide. These together form a malodorous black slime. In some case bubbles of H S rise though the 2

water and cause objectionable odors. The corrosion of iron by sulphate reducing bacteria is rapid and unlike ordinary rusting, is not self – limiting. Our specially developed test kit with a unique 40ml sample size gives a much reproducible quantitative analysis of the SRB count in a sample. Our polymeric dispersant is a synthetic organic anti foulant which inhibits the deposition of fouling materials on the heat transfer surfaces. It eliminates fouling caused by phosphates, silicates, metallic oxides, silt and other air-borne materials. ON LINE CLEANER

Our cleaning system has been specially developed to effectively remove deposit, sludge / foulants from the system. It is a blend of specific chelating agents designed for removal of Iron, Calcium and Magnesium based deposits from cooling water systems where it is not practical to remove the tower packing. It is found to be most effective in cleaning, where deposition or oil contamination is suspected of reducing heat transfer or restricting flow available. Deposits are softened and solubilized as our cleaner penetrates the deposits and enhances the action of cooling water dispersants to slough off remaining deposits which are later removed during a blow down or draining.

BIOCIDES Our biocides are effective in controlling bacterial slime and fungal growth in industrial recirculating cooling water systems, air washer systems and evaporate condensers. We have a range of both oxidizing and nonoxidizing biocides, which have a broad spectrum efficacy and are effective over a wide range of pH.

BIODISPERSANTOur synthetic organic Biodispersant is effective in removing dead algal and slime mass from cooling system.
