About Author

• Tulsi Das was born in Rampura village of Banda district on 1556. His father’s name was Atmaram and his mother’s name was Hugli Devi. He was grate poet in Hindi language. He translated Balmiki’s Ramayan from Sanskrit to Hindi. He was died in 1680.

About the Book

• The Ram Charitmanas is a religious book It is respected by every Hindu. It is a life story of lord Rama. It is a dutiful book which learn us the duty of a son to his father, Brother to his brother, a wife to her husband, a husband to his wife, a servent to his lord & a citizen to his country.

This book is divided in to seven part namely :-

1. BALKAND 2. AYODHYAKAND 3. ARNYAKAND 4. KISHKINDYAKAND 5. SUNDARKAND 6. LANKAKAND 7. UTTRAKAND

-:BALKAND:-

This part consists of ShreeRam’s childhood. He was prince of Ayodhya.He killed Tarka. He won Seeta’s Swyambar in Janakpuri.

-:BALKAND:-

In Gurukul Rishi Vashisht, ShreeRam, Bharat, Lakshmin, Shatrugn

-:BALKAND:-

He converted a stone to a lady ( Ahelya wife of Gautam Rishi)

-:AYODHYAKAND:-

• In this part there was announcement that Shree Ram would the king of Ayodhya. After a little time his father ordered to go to forest for 14th year. Then he left Ayodhya with his wife Seeta and younger brother Lakshmin. After some time his father died.

-:AYODHYAKAND:-

ShreeRam pray to his mother with his wife Seeta and Brother Lakshmin before go to VANVAS.

-:ARNYAKAND:-

• In this part of The Ram Charitmanas Seeta was kidnapped by Ravan the king of ShreeLanka. After it both brother searched for her.

-:KISHKINDHYAKAND:-

• In this part they were reached to Kishkindhya Nagar in search of Sita. There they mat Hanuman, Sugrive & Friend ship was developed between ShreeRam and Sugrive. After it he killed Bali the enemy of Sugrive.

-:KISHKINDHYAKAND:-

He mat Hanuman.

-:SUNDARKAND:-

• In this part Seeta had been searched by Hanuman in Lanka which is situated on other side of sea. Hanuman burned Lanka. ShreeRam build Rameshwarm. Sugriv’s monkey solders build bridge on sea.

-:SUNDERKAND:-

-:LANKAKAND:-

• In this part ShreeRam had attacked to Ravan and got victory. After it he freed seeta from Ravan and Vibhikshan had become king of ShreeLanka.

-:LANKAKAND:-

Lakshmin injured by SHAKTIBAAN.

-:LANKAKAND:-

Bringing Sangivanbuty( medicine ) for Lakshmin

-:UTTARKAND:-

• In this part ShreeRam, Seeta and Lakshmin returned back to Ayodhya after 14th year and ShreeRam became king of Ayodhya.
