day 10: Lady KHADIJAh’S POWERLady Khadijah (a) was the first woman to follow Prophet Muhammad (s) when he invited
people to Islam. She was the wife of Prophet Muhammad (s). When the Quraysh tribe
wanted to hurt the Muslims, they stopped buying things from their stores and speaking to
them so that they would become hungry. Lady Khadijah (a) spent all of her money to buy
food, water, and clothes for the Muslims to help them. During this time, she became unwell
and passed away on the 10th of Ramadan.
Allah loved her so much He made Lady Khadijah (a) one of the four women of Paradise,
along with Lady Maryam (a), Lady Asiyah (a), and Lady Fatimah (a). Lady Khadijah (a) is an
inspiration to all Muslims. She shows us that you don’t need special superpowers to be a
good Muslim. All you need is to follow Allah!
Write or draw a talent you have and figure out how you can use that talent to do good!

day 11: HUNGER AND THE MINDOne of the benefits of fasting is that it increases good actions and thinking about Allah
more. When we are hungry, we think about every hour of the day. This makes us realize how
we are spending our time. Allah explains to us in Surah Asr in the Qu’ran that we have little
time in this world and we should spend that time doing good deeds for Him. Help Crescent
get through the maze and to the Qu’ran!
START!

day 12: Heroes Around the World - Somalia
Around the world, Muslims have different traditional foods to celebrate Ramadan. One
popular Ramadan desserts in Somalia is kac kac. Kac kac has cardamon scented dough and
is similar to a powdered doughnut. Connect the dots to make the kac kac!

day 13: The Qu’ran - hungerThe Qu’ran is revealed in the month of Ramadan and it was Allah’s gift to us. We should
read the Qur’an every day and learn from its meaning. Praying is how we talk to Allah and
the Qu’ran is how Allah talks to us! Help crack the code to reveal the ayaat of the Qu’ran!

DAY 14: HUNGER’S BLESSINGOne of the benefits of fasting is to experience the hardships of hungry people. We should
remember the poor whenever we start to feel hungry. We should pray for the poor at iftaar
and giving sadaqah to the poor so that less people experience hunger, and Allah loves
sadaqah. During the day when we are hungry, we don’t eat because we remember we are
fasting to get closer to Allah. Color in the sections with a dot to reveal the message!
Now draw or write what this means to you!
