Basic rules of fasting for Ramadan
• You cannot eat or drink anything from dawn (Sunrise) till dusk (Sunset).• You must have strong intention to fast• You must stay away from wrong acts including
1. Intentional Eating or Drinking2. Intentional Vomiting3. Intentional Sexual Intercourse4. Menstrual or Childbirth Bleeding
These above actions will invalidate your fasting.

Though the Islam doesn’t stop anyone with good intentions from fasting, there are some rules defined by scholars for those who are not allowed to observe fasting during Ramadan
For now, there is only one rule for women who are experiencing post-childbirth bleeding or are in their menses are not allowed to fast until their bleeding ends.
