To understand the benefits of good goverance. Highlights: The morning sets the day and the assembly paves the way for our students to rejuvenate their spirits, remain rooted to the moral values and unleash their vitality. The students of class VII C presented the morning assembly on the theme “Good Governance day”. The assembly started with the morning's prayer followed by the thought for the day and news headlines. A motivational speech on the given topic was presented by Mansa. Ms .Indu bala motivated and inspired the by her speech. It was a well conducted assembly by class VII C in a short period of time. Outcome: It was a well conducted assembly by class VII C. The students not only got to know about Good Governance and also discussed the benefits of good Governance.

On 9 October, 2017, an assembly was conducted by grade II B in the New Auditorium

Assembly commenced by seeking the blessing of the Almighty where the children chanted the

prayer “Father we thank the ..”

Vedant Kumar gave a beautiful thought for the day.

The day's news headlines were shared by Aarya Gupta

The pledge was administered by Palak Rajput.

A quiz was conducted by Arnav Agarwal related to "Festival Month.”

Two students from each section of class I to III were selected and appreciated in the best

dressed category and a message of appreciation was sent to each parent from the school for

the same.

The assembly was well hosted by Ayati Goyal .

Activity Coordinator, Ms Susanne and all the teachers of class I to III blessed the birthday

buddied before the National Anthem

Outcome:

All the children of Class II - B actively participated and made the assembly a grand success only with

their enthusiasm.

ASSEMBLY OF GRADE – VIII A

Date & Venue: On October 10th 2017, an assembly was conducted by grade VIII A in the New Auditorium Conducted by: Grade VIII A, under the guidance of their Class Teacher, Ms. Parul Bajaj Theme: Together with Democracy Participants: Students of Grade VIII A Agenda:

To make the students aware about the importance of democracy

To make students realize, utility of democracy

To stress upon its relevance in the present time

To make the students understand why democracy should be a part of life of every Indian Highlights:

Tuesday morning assembly was very important, as it brought the middle wing VI-VIII together, and aimed to provide the knowledge among the students regarding democratic government of our country, India.

Students of Class VIII-A actively participated and every one appreciated their efforts.

The beautiful morning was welcomed by everyone with the school prayer followed by the thought of the day that was presented by Akshada Tapkir; News headlines were read out by Aayushi Bhardwaj; amazing facts about Democracy were presented by Deepal and Chitrisha. It was followed by an influential speech delivered by Omza Tripathi.

The students of grade VIII A through their assembly on the topic “Together with Democracy” highlighted on the importance of democratic government and how it is different from monarchy and oligarchy.

Ms. Parul Bajaj ,VIII A class teacher, gave a speech on the conditions which are necessary for the success of the democratic government .

Students were inspired by her speech and decided come together to contribute in making the learning and teaching environment in their school better by presenting their strong opinion so that the democratic environment can be created in the school.

Outcome: It was a well -organized assembly by class VIII A. The students realized the importance of democracy. They understood that its success and failure depend on people’s wisdom, consciousness and vigilance.

CBSE Clusters -2017 1. Football (U-19, Boys)

Ramagya School participated in the CBSE Clusters U-19 Boys Football tournament held at Meerut on 4th

& 5th Oct 2017.

In their opening match against SG Public School, Ghaziabad, Ramagya School won by 3-1. For the winning

team, Lakshay scored 2 goals & 1 goal was scored by Vaibhav.

In their second match, on 5th Oct.2017, Ramagya was pitted against Dehradoon Public School. Although,

Ramagya Team played well but lost the match 3-1. The lone goal for Ramagya was scored by Lakshay.

CBSE Clusters -2017 2. Football (Girls)

Ramagya School participated in the CBSE Clusters Girls Football tournament held at Meerut from 18th

Sept. to 23rd Sept. 2017.

The Girls Team was awarded with Participation Certificates. Aastha, Shristi, Shivani and Janvi were

appreciated for their performance during the match.

7th Heaven Football Tournament, University of

Delhi 1. Ramagya Football Team

Ramagya School’s Girls Team participated in the 7th Heaven Football Tournament organised by

University of Delhi from 3rd to 6th Oct.2017 in Delhi.

The Girls team won their first match against DPS, Ghaziabad by the margin of 3-0 and in their second

match against Fly Challengers FC, Ramagya Team was awarded a bye. The star performers of the

tournament were Aastha, Chanila, Jiya and Harshita

2. Ramagya Football Team (U-17 Boys)

Ramagya School’s Boys U-17 Team participated in the 7th Heaven Football Tournament organised by

University of Delhi on 3rd Oct. 2017 in Delhi.

U-17 Boys team won their opening match against Happy Model School by the margin of 3-1. Ramagya’s

Boys Team was also awarded a bye. Shashank and Samarth were appreciated for their performance in

the match.

3. Ramagya Football Team (U-14 Boys)

Ramagya’s Boys U-14 Team participated in the 7th Heaven Football Tournament organised by University

of Delhi on 3rd to 6th Oct. 2017 in Delhi.

Ramagya team won their opening match against Scrunty by the margin of 4-1 but went down fighting in

the next match against GBSSS Moti Bagh. Harshist Bajaj was the star performer of the Ramagya Team.

Gaurs School’s Cricket League Tournament Ramagya School, Noida Participated in the Gaurs School’s Cricket League Tournament held on 11th Oct 2017. In

their First League match against Step by step School, Noida, Ramagya School won the match by 30 runs and a

registered a resounding victory against their opponent .

Adarsh Tiwari of grade XI B was declared the Man of the Match for his stellar performance of claiming 4 wickets.

With this win, Ramagya School has entered into the quarter finals of this prestigious tournament.

Ramagya School is proud of the achievement of its Cricket Team and it’s mentor, Mr. Shashank Negi.

Gaurs School Cricket League In the Gaurs School Cricket League, Ramagya School played their Pre-Quarter final match against Gaurs International School Noida on 13th Oct 2017. Ramagya School had a convincing win against Gaurs International School Noida and won the match by 7 wickets. Batting first, Gaurs International School scored 83 runs in 19 overs. From Ramagya School, Adarsh Tiwari and Harsh Chaturvedi claimed 2 wickets each. In reply, Ramagya School attained the target of 84 runs with 7 wickets to spare. Chirag Chauhan made 27 runs and was declared ‘Man of the Match’ for his splendid performance with the bat. Tejas Sharma 17 and Arpit Singh 22 were the other batsmen who scored runs for the team. With this victory, Ramagya School has secured its place in the Quarter finals of the tournament.

Sensitizing students about Good and bad

touch

Date & Venue:

On 11th Sept.17, a sensitization programme was conducted for the students of grades I, II & III in the New

Auditorium.

Demonstrator & Presenter:

The School Counsellor Ms. Shuchi Mahtta took the session with the Primary students on Body safety & Good

touch-Bad touch.

Participants:

The session was attended by the students od grades I , II & III along with their respective Class Teacher.

Agenda:

The students of the Primary wing were engaged in understanding good touch and bad touch. The children were

apprised about knowing their body and knowing which are the private parts. This was done to introduce the

idea of their body belonging to them so that they can say no to and report any uncomfortable touch made by

any known/unknown.

Outcome:

The children participated enthusiastically and gave inputs regarding saving themselves from strangers. They

keenly listened to what to do in case someone’s touch makes them feel bad and uncomfortable.

Inter-House Rangavali Competition Date & Venue:

October 11, 2017 an Inter House Rangavali Competition was organized in the Old Auditorium.

Demonstrator & Presenter: Students of the 4 houses under the guidance of the House Mistresses, House Captains & Deputy House Captains. Participants: Students of the houses- Gandhi, Sarojini, Indira and Tagore

Highlights:

Students of Ramagya School celebrated the festival of Diwali by organizing an Inter-house “Rangavali”

competition in the School auditorium. The students of each house made beautiful ‘Rangoli’ using dust

powder, flowers, diyas and other decorative material. Each “house” was given a unique name based on

theme of Diwali. Each house displayed their Rangoli in a very innovative way and decorated the same with

different materials. This creative effort of the students was judged by the Principal, Ms Meenakshi Zarabi

and Ms Abha, Primary Head. On the basis of their judgement the results were declared. Gandhi House was

declared the winner. Sarojini House, Indira House and Tagore House secured Second, Third and Fourth

place respectively. All the participants were appreciated, motivated and encouraged by the Principal Ms

Meenakshi Zarabi.

A lot enthusiasm, excitement and healthy competitive spirit were seen among the students. The

students displayed their creativity in ingenious way. The competition instilled team-spirit and

camaraderie in the students.

Educational Trip by students of Grade VIII Date & Venue: On October 13th 2017, the students of grade VIII visited Eternal Gandhi Multimedia Museum in New Delhi

Participants: Students of all the sections of Grade VIII Teacher In -charges: Ms Parul Bajaj ,Mr Abhishek Ruchikar & Mr Sachin

Highlights:

Friday morning for Grade VIII of Ramagya School was very exciting, as it brought all the sections of grade VIII together for their educational trip to a museum where they could see, touch, and practice experiential learning. The Eternal Gandhi Multimedia Museum is a digital multimedia museum established in 2005 at the site where the Father of the Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was assassinated. The Museum presents historical records of Gandhi’s life, and aims to revive and redefine the values by which India obtained freedom. The museum is impressive for many reasons. The exhibition includes displays derived from classical Indian symbols such as the spinning wheel, turning prayer wheels, touching symbolic pillars, the act of hands touching sacred objects. Children enjoyed watching the life of Gandhiji in rhythmic motion through photographs, paintings, film footage and video clips. The first attraction that helped children become acquainted with the museum is the mini-theatre where the students watched a short clip on how Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated. E-Train Bharat Darshan was the most interesting part of the museum as it allowed children to trace Gandhi’s journey and discovery of India when he returned from South Africa. He set out on a train journey to rediscover India travelling third class to feel one with the masses. Besides these, there are the House of Truth, interactive maps, an e-charkha (spinning wheel), a harp that plays nationalist songs, an e-clock and much more. Outcome:

For students the trip was a great learning experience as the students acquired valuable insight into the life and times of Gandhiji.

Ice Skating Report

Aditi Singh, a Nursery grader in Ramagya School became the youngest girl ever to participate in under 4 (years)

category of Ice Skating Competition held between 1st & 2nd Oct.2017, in Guraugram. The event witnessed

participation from more than 40 Schools.

For her distinctive accomplishment, Aditi was awarded the participation certificate by ICE Skating Association for

becoming the Youngest Girl to compete in ICE Skating Championship Tournament in India.

Ramagya School is proud of its youngest ice skater and her trainer, Mr. Sachin for bringing laurels to the School.

Heartiest congratulations to both Aditi & her coach for this unique feat.

Career Counselling Workshop(Grades X & XII)

Date & Venue:

On 11th October 2017, the students of grade X & XII participated in a Career Counselling Workshop

organized in the 3D Lab of the School.

Demonstrator & Presenter:

It was conducted by Mr. Aman Kholi, a renowned Career Counsellor from The Times of India.

Participants:

Students of grades X and XII.

Agenda:

To initiate the students into the new world of preference of streams and careers

To zero down on priorities & make informed choices about the preferred streams

To think and analyze about different career options

To use elimination technique to zero down on what students want in their life

To emphasize on importance of hard work

To develop focused attitude in life

To prioritize one’s own choices in life

Outcome:

The students became familiar with the process to opt for subjects of their choice and ways to navigate through

different streams. They thanked the Resource Person, Mr. Kohli for providing valuable insight regarding subject

and career choice in grade XI and thereafter.

Teacher’s Meet by TOI

Date & Venue:

On 13th October 2017, Teachers’ Meet was organized by the Times of India in the Worlds of Wonder,

Noida.

Presented by : Ms. Prerna

Agenda:

To appreciate teachers and their work in the field of education.

To provide them an opportunity to interact through a common platform

To share their experiences with other schools and thus help others to improve and improvise

To have fun along with hands on training on developing camaraderie

Participants:

Teachers from Delhi-NCR. Ms. Savita & Ms. Aparajita from Ramagya School participated in the event.

Highlights:

Teachers from Delhi NCR participated in the Teacher’s Meet for the session 2017-18. It was for the first

time that Ramagya School had participated in such an event. The meet aimed at enabling teachers to

have a fun time with their professional counterparts. Miss India 2015 was also present at the venue.

She chose the teacher with best hair and skin. A standup comedy act was performed by Mr. Himani.

Worlds of Wonder CFO, Mr. Ponda and the Chief Editor of TOI Mr. Vineet Jain were also present in the

meet.

Mr. Vineet appreciated the effort put in by the teachers and their responsibility towards nation

building. The cultural event was followed by a dinner.

Outcome:

The teachers attending the meet got to know the other NIE Coordinators in the schools of Delhi & NCR and

developed a great rapport with them.

Special Assembly- Grade IX

Date & Venue: On October 13th 2017, a special assembly on the theme of ‘Diwali’ was conducted by the students of grade IX in the New Auditorium. Conducted by & Presented by: Students of Grade IX under the guidance of their Class Teachers, Ms. Pinky, Ms. Aaparajita and Mr. Praveen Chopra respectively. Participants: Students of Grade IX Highlights: The festival of Diwali was celebrated on the 13th of October 2017 in the special assembly conducted by the students of class IX. The students felt privileged to have amidst them, Ms Meenakshi Zarabi, Principal; Primary Head. Ms Abha Tandon; Senior Academic Coordinator, Ms Seema Sinha & Ms Seema Kaushik, Coordinator, Middle wing. Their presence certainly motivated enthused the students. The students of grade IX welcomed the Principal Ms Meenakshi Zarabi and other guests with flowers and chocolates. This was followed by the traditional lighting of the diyas. The programme began with a prayer highlighting the message of Diwali, invoking God’s blessings and thanking him for his grace and guidance. The Principal, Ms. Zarabi enlightened the staff and student with the message of Diwali saying that light within us must help us to dispel darkness and spread love, warmth, kindness, giving and sharing. Then Ms Seema Sinha enlightened the students by telling them the real meaning of Deepawali celebration. The choir presented a specially prepared song on Deepawali. The song was followed by a skit and dance dedicated to lord Ganesha. Madhur of IX C presented a beautifully worded self -composed poem on Diwali, which was appreciated by everyone. Outcome: The assembly sparked celebrations in the hearts and minds of the students wherein they pledged to celebrate Diwali without crackers but promised to bring smile on the faces of people with love, warmth, kindness, giving and sharing. REPORT – WORKSHOP ON CHOCOLATE MAKING

Date & Venue:

October 13, 2017, students of grades IX to XII attended a workshop on chocolate making in the New

Auditorium Demonstrator & Presenter: Ms. Participants: Students of grades IX to XII

Ramagya School always take initiatives for the students to remain engaged and motivated to learn

something new, all in line with teaching objectives. So, as a part of Diwali activity on October 13,2017 in

the school New Auditorium, a hands on learning workshop was organized for the senior wing (IX to XII)

where the students were demonstrated on how to prepare chocolates at home in a quick and easy way.

Ms Sunita conducted the workshop and told the students simpler and quicker way to make homemade

chocolates. Ms Sunita is an expert in making homemade chocolates and conducts workshop for the

children. She gave live demonstration, on how to prepare chocolates at home by simply using microwave

and different shaped moulds. The step by step way of making told & shown to the students by the two

student volunteers.

The students really enjoyed the workshop and learnt the easiest way possible to make chocolates at

home.

By reciting a poem, the students encouraged their friends to have an eco -friendly and cracker free Diwali

Dance performance and melodious bhajan by the School choir made the morning more delightful.

The students were motivated by the speech given by Principal ma’am and Ms. Aakshi. Outcome

The morning set the day and the assembly paved the way for our students to rejuvenate their spirits, remain rooted to the moral values and unleash their vitality.

The Staff understood the importance and utility of School ERP as it turned out to be a great platform for school

staff that provides a new media of interaction between teachers and students.

This school management system offers several benefits to the Staff of School- teachers and Admin and hence

accord them opportunity to work with great ease & accuracy with the user friendly system

Report on English Language Lab Training On 17th October, 2017, the School organised English Language Lab training by Sonako. The training

session for the English teachers was held in 3D room at 2.30 p.m. Teachers taking English in grades I to

X participated in the training programme. The software will provide an opportunity to students to

personalise their learning.

The Resource Person, Mr. Naman Bhardwaj explained to the teachers the operation procedure of this

user friendly software. The teachers were explained some of the features of the software like starting

the application, adding names of students, talk button, conducting listening comprehension activity, 2

way communication, making groups and one to one conversation. The teachers on their part were

excited to grasp the working of the software and its prominent features.

A few of the teachers had queries related to the working and operation procedures of the software

that were provided with adequate solutions by the Resource Person.

Athletics Championship- 2017

On 24th October 2017, Ramagya School, Noida participated in the 1st U.P. State Junior Athletics

Championship -2017 held at Reliable Institute, Ghaziabad .The Athletics team brought laurels to the

school by winning 10 medals- 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 7 Bronze medals. The School had participated in both

girls and boys events in U-12 and U-15 categories.

The lone gold medal was won in 200 m by Harsh Chaturvedi of XI B; Shantanu Gupta IX B & Paras Sharma

XI B won Silver medals in 100 m and long jump event respectively. The bronze medals were won by

Karishma Yadav VI B ( 200 m), Kashish Giri VI A (100 m), Love Aggarwal IX C (400 m), Ayush Dhal VIII B

(800 m), Prince Yadav VIII C (Long jump), Yasir Ahmad VIII B (100 m) and Sugandh Saxena IX C (100 m)

Rmagya School congratulates its young athletes and their coach, Mr. Gautam Vedi on their stupendous

success.

Intra–school Swimming Competition

On 24th of October 2017 Ramagya School, Noida had organized Inter- house Swimming competition

students.

The occasion was graced by the Principal, Ms. Meenakshi Zarabi. After declaring the meet open,

Principal Madam while addressing the contestants motivated and inspired them to show their talent

and compete with true sportsmanship. She enthused the budding swimmers to look at sports as an

alternative career option. All four houses- Indira, Tagore, Sorijini and Gandhi participated with

tremendous competitive zeal thus making Inter- house Swimming competition was a grand success.

The event was successfully conducted by Mr. Sachin Sharma (Swimming coach) under the guidance of

Mr Anuj (HOD- Phy Edu) and with support of all the other coaches and teachers.

CBSE Cluster Skating Competition – 2017 Ramagya School, Noida participated in the CBSE Cluster Skating Championship 2017 held at DPS, Meerut from

24th Oct. to 26th Oct. 2017.

Under the mentorship of the Skating coach Mr. Sachin Kumar, Ramagya School Skating Team won 2 Gold and 1

Silver medal in the event.

In the under 8 Quads, 300 mtrs, Divij Ramachandran of grade III won the gold medal in 45.78 seconds . Divij

was declared the ‘Best Skater ‘for clocking the best timing in this CBSE Cluster Skating category.

The second Gold was won in the under 8 Quads, 500 mtrs by Divit Ramachandran of grade III. Divit also won

Silver medal in under 8, 1000 mtrs. For his phenomenal achievement, Divit was also declared the ‘Best Skater’

of the event of participation.

Visit to an Old Age Home

On 16 October, 2017, the students of Ramagya School visited Bhagawadham Old Age Home in Delhi

Members of the Student Council. They were accompanied by the School Principal, Ms Meenakshi

Zarabi, Ms. Susanne George, Activity Coordinator, Ms Vandana Vashisht and

Mr Praveen.

Highlights:

As part of inculcating good values among the students of Ramagya, the School Principal, Ms

Meenakshi Zarabi planned a visit to Bhagawadham Old Age Home, Mayur Vihar, New Delhi on

16 October,2017 to enlighten and empower the elderly through love, care and compassion.

The members of the student council were a part of this charitable drive.

Sealed packets of any food items like atta,sugar ,salt,daal,rice etc and toiletries were brought

by students and teachers of Ramagya School. These were handed over to the office of

Bhagwadham Old Age Home.

Ramagya Choir led by Ms Vandana Vashisht sang bhajans and students spent some quality time

with the senior citizens who had assembled in the hall of the old age home.

They were very happy and contented at the end of the interactive session with the students in

particular.

They shared their experiences while they were young and advised the children to always

respect and love the elderly.

Principal along with the staff and students conducted a short meditation session there.

The students on their return shared their experiences and believed the visit was a great

learning for them.

The senior most elderly member of the group took us around their campus and showed the

whole set up.

The students were really happy and touched by the whole experience where they could share

their love, give warmth and happiness to them.

Outcome:

It was a truly eye opening experience as for the first time some of our students were exposed

to the plight of the old and aged and realised that they should ideally be taken care by their

children and families.

All of them promised and took a decision to take care and respect the elderly in their families

and contribute a portion of their salaries when they will start earning for the welfare and

betterment of the old and needy.

‘Behtar Indian’ campaign, a cleanliness drive

Date & Venue:

As a part of ‘Behtar Indian’ campaign, a cleanliness drive in and around the school was undertaken by

the students of grades V to VIII on 19th October 2017.

Agenda:

To highlight the importance of Cleanliness

To make students a part of cleanliness campaign of the school.

To understand that cleanliness is next to Godliness

To give the message that clean surroundings help to lead a healthy life

To inculcate responsibility of cleanliness as a habit in students

Participants:

Highlights:

Cleanliness is the state of keeping one’s house and surroundings clean to maintain the good

physical and mental health.

We should never compromise with cleanliness. It should be practiced from the childhood and

initiated at homes.

Cleanliness should be inculcated as the first and foremost responsibility of every child

Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has started a cleanliness campaign called “Clean India” or

“Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” and it now our responsibility to our country clean.

To inculcate the value of cleanliness and as part of “Behtar India Campaign” of NDTV along with

Ministry of Forest & Environment, the students of Ramagya enthusiastically cleaned up the public

roads and area outside the school with their Principal ,Ms Meenakshi Zarabi, , Ms Susanne

George and Ms Sonia Tetrawal.

The Principal emphasized on the importance of cleanliness on a daily basis and highlighted that

it’s every one’s duty to create awareness among their family, friends and relatives. She also

talked to the students about benefits of keeping their surroundings clean and tidy.

Outcome:

The students were highly motivated at the end of this drive and expressed their desire to conduct the cleanliness drive regularly not only in the school but in their localities to increase awareness about cleanliness amongst all.
