Founded in 1869 by Sybil Jones from
New England Yearly Meeting, at the
request of the local community, which
asked for a school for girls.
The school has
three divisions
on two
campuses,
originally for
girls and for
boys. The
entire school is
now co-ed.
The lower
school is Pre-
K through 5th
grade. It
meets on the
former “girls
school”
campus
The middle school is 6-8th grades. We are
in the midst of building them a new
complex within the “boys school”
campus
The upper
school is
grades 9-12.
It uses the
historic “boys
school”
campus
The IB
curriculum
is used
through all
levels of
the school
There are about 1,200 students, all
