Vintage Military Rifle Silhouette: FUN MATCH! This is intended to be a fun, semi-formal match using military rifles from the late 1800s through the 1950’s. Rifles may be single shot, repeating, or semi-automatic from any nation in “as-issued” condition*. The match format will be the same as BPCRS (allowing sighting shots and same shooting positions). Examples of USA rifles are US Krag Rifle or carbine (.30-40 Krag), Winchester 1895 Musket or Carbine, 1903 Springfield (and A3, A4), U.S. Model 1917 Enfield, M1 Garand and M1A. Minimum caliber is 6mm and all ammunition must be SOFT POINT or HOLLOW POINT bullets. No FMJ, armor piercing, or tracers will be allowed. There will be separate classes for those shooting “as-issued” sights and those shooting “scope” sights (and possibly aperture target sights). There will be awards/prizes for the match. (*Any sights will be allowed including aperture micrometer target sights and scopes resembling those typically found on vintage bolt action sniper rifles.)
