K i m Coughl in and M r . John Cryder , performed a t v a r i o u s t imes through- o u t t h e e v e n i n g . A d i n n e r of s a l - a d , b r e a d , s p a g h e t t i and m e a t b a l l s , d r i n k s and c o o k i e s was se rved from 4 t o 8 PM. Approximate ly $5 ,600 was r a i s e d t o s u p p o r t t h e band program f o r t h e upcoming y e a r .

The g r a d u a t i o n of t h e c l a s s of 153 s t u d e n t s was h e l d May 31. C l a s s V a l e d i c t o r i a n was S a r a h Kus t o k and C l a s s S a l u t a t o r i a n was Mario C a r l a s a r e . The V;FW award was r e c e i v e d by Sarah Kustok and C h a r l i e Breed love . The F r a n k f o r t J a y c e e s Award was r e c e i v e d by Michael R i z z u t o and t h e F r a n k f o r t PTA p r e s e n t e d t h e Vio la Lankenau Award t o Darcy P i a z z a . P r i n c i p a l John Loecke s t a t e d , "This was a

s p e c i a l y e a r f o r t h e s t u d e n t s . I congratulate them and a l s o thank t h o s e t e a c h e r s and p a r e n t s who p a r t i c i p a t e d i n t h e i r s u c c e s s . ' I

The F r a n k f o r t Board of E d u c a t i o n was p l e a s e d t o a c c e p t a check f o r $1,000 from L i z Gerske , P r e s i d e n t of t h e E d u c a t i o n a l Founda t ion . It w i l l be used t o p rov ide award- winning r e a d i n g m a t e r i a l s f o r t h e d i s t r i c t l i b r a r i e s . Ger ry F r a n c i s r e p o r t e d i t would c o s t between $400 and $500 t o g e t t h e team s t a r t e d . T h i s would i n - c lude uniforms, equipment, i n s u r - ance and e n t r a n c e f e e .

It was agreed t h e men p r e s e n t would a s k t h e b u s i n e s s men of F r a n k f o r t t o dona te $ S f o r t h e purpose of s t a r t i n g a Babe Ruth team. On t h e uniforms would read "Frankfor t Merchants."

Other ways & means f o r Babe Ruth boys t o r a i s e money was d i s c u s s e d : Car s t i c k e r s , c a r washing, snow s h o v e l i n g and movies.
