Mom died in 1491.
Uncle, who was a priest, became his legal guardian.
He worked as an apprentice for a master.
When he was not living with his master he stayed with his stepmother.
His father (uncle) placed him in the workshop of Umbrian, master Dietro Dengino as an apprentice in the field of art.
He received training from Timoteo Viti in the field of art also.

First he studied in Umbria.
Then he spent four years in Florence. (Looking for artistic inspiration)
Lastly, he spent twelve years in Rome working with two popes.
