Envision Rapid Deployment

A Beechcraft Case StudyFebruary 2014

Overview• Six sites to be implemented• Contract announced January 2013• Transition of each site to using Envision for its day to day operations• Installation and support of Envision MRO software across all of its Beechcraft Services facilities

in the United States• Integration to the corporate business system, SAP• Envision is being used as the service centre MRO system with synchronisation to the corporate

SAP financial system. It provides all the transactional functions necessary for the operation of each of the service centres but still allows visibility across the network of global data.

• Envision will be used to manage all shop floor transactions, inventory management, planning, quality audit and resource / labour management functions

• Installations managed jointly by Rusada consultants and Beechcraft’s own project team

Beechcraft Sites To Be Implemented• KFTY Fulton County Airport (Atlanta)*• KPDK Dekalb - Peachtree Airport (Atlanta)*• KHOU William P. Hobby Airport (Houston)• KIND Indianapolis International Airport (Indianapolis)• KTPA Tampa Intl Airport (Tampa)• KICT Mid Continent Airport (Wichita)• KILG New Castle County Airport (Wilmington)

*Both Atlanta sites implemented as one

Installation• The installation is not six separate instances of the software but one

single solution capable of performing as a true multi site, multi currency and multi time zone single database application. Consistency of procedure, data and transactions across service centres is therefore assured.

Principle• The principle was that we trained their training team and then

shadowed them on the second installation, as well as assisting with bespoke procedural and training documentation. Subsequent installations we were on hand and conducted two further short visits as the next two sites were commissioned.

Timeline• January 2013 – contract signed and announcement made• End Q1 2013 – first site implemented (Wichita)• April 2013 – sites two goes live (Fulton County and Peachtree)• June 2013 – site three goes live (Tampa)• July 2013 – site four goes live (Indianapolis)• August 2013 – sites five and six go live (Houston and Wilmington)

Outcome• All six sites implemented with Envision• Implemented four months ahead of schedule• Gradually ran by Beechcraft project team, leading to substantial

saving on project implementation costs compared to other projects• Speed and accuracy of data enhanced• Higher level of service to GCS’s customer base• Significant efficiency savings• Increase in invoicing accuracy
