PE28 3EB ENGLAND Tel : 01487 740744 Fax : 01487 740040 ‘Rapid’ MkI Pressure Indicator outside of working pressure 1. Remove bottle in the usual way and the stock using 5/32 and 1/8 allen keys. 2. Hold rifle in a vice with the barrel pointing up. Put some thin cardboard in the vice jaws so the Rapid body does not get damaged. 3. Using a 21mm open ended spanner (wrench) undo the Inlet Adaptor (part no 2). It is a standard thread - unscrew anti-clockwise. 4. Check the thread on the pressure indicator inlet adaptor is not damaged. 5. Check all o-rings are in perfect condition and that they are free from debris. 6. O-ring and assemble parts as per diagram below using a small amount of Molykote 33 Medium grease to ensure everything slides together with ease. The pressure indicator face should only be finger tight, but it must be up tight. 7. Make sure the small arrow on the Aluminium Slipping Union is pointing forward, towards where the buddy bottle will screw in. 8. Screw the assembled unit into Rapid body. It should screw in smoothly. If it doesn’t unscrew and check all threads. 9. The indicator face should be lo- cated vertically under the barrel. Using a 21mm open ended span- ner tighten the Adaptor. 10. Refit stock and screw on bottle. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT RAPID 17/17 OR FAC RIFLES ARE RETURNED TO THEOBEN FOR FITTING PLEASE NOTE: you will need basic technical or engineering skills to fit the Indicator to a .177 or FAC rated rifle. If you send the complete rifle (not scope) back to Theoben we can fit it for you for £88.00 including the Indicator (not including postage of the rifle). Fitting Instructions The idea is quite simple as there are no numbers, just coloured areas so you can see at a glance how much usable air you have left. * Please specify the calibre and the power of the rifle you will be fitting the Indicator to. 10. Refit stock and screw on bottle.
