class 7 container with outside damages. Container # ACSU1001921
Good afternoon all
Just to keep you informed There is NO urgency on this event since there is nothing possible to escape from the container. Container # ACSU1001921on Vessel Atlantic Impala was hit by waves and the exposed left side was pushed in about 4 inches on the top part there is no hales on the container. We can also see the print of the drums rings inside on the wall. (See photos) Apart from this there are no ether apparent damages. The container is not opened yet we will do the survey tomorrow or Wednesday to validate if the container can be shipped as is to your facility. Even if we do not expect any spill inside the container, our fire inspectors with proper level of protection for this cargo will first inspect to see if there are any drums with lid that could have popped out. If it would be the case we will close the container and advise you immediately. In the event that all drums are OK a cargo surveyor will be present to assess the container and the bracing to certify weather the container is fit ta move like this to your facility.
Best regards
Jean Vadboncoeur Capitaine de port adjoint section terrestre/ Deputy harbour master shore division
