Our Mission is to provide an extensive and varied recreational program, enhancing personal enrichment, and providing for the community’s leisure needs. The activities and services shall include, but not be limited to: recreational and enrichment activities for all ages, youth and adult sports programs and activities for special populations. In the furtherance of this mission, RARA is faced, more frequently as time passes, with the need for additional funds for assistance with enhancement, maintenance and operations of RARA facilities and programs. In a time of shrinking public dollars, RARA seeks outside funding through sponsorships in order to maintain valuable and important programs and facilities, as we continue to provide thousands of programs each year to over two hundred thousand area residents. RARA has designed a sponsorship program that will enhance the ability to deliver recreation services as long as the services and products of those businesses are consistent with and appropriate to RARA’s mission and lines of business.

Our sponorship opportunities include:• Naming Rights - Field House 10000SF• Naming Rights - Dance Studio 6200SF• Legacy Rights - Dance Rooms 1, 2, 3, & 4 1200SF• Sponsorships - Sports, Programs, Special Events

RUSl and RARA will be hosting it’s first annual Chumash 3 on 3 tournament for high school boys. This 3 on 3 tournament will help develop your agility and speed around the net. Chumash LaCrosse is an excellent off season training option because of the constant action. Unlike field lacrosse, each player is always involved. We play on a small field and goal and put a premium on ball movement, fast pace and accuracy. All of the game tactics (picks, give and gos, backdoor cuts, etc) translate to full lacrosse. The pace of play requires defense to communicate and cover for one another. This a great physical workout due to the constant movement and change of direction. RARA SCHOOL FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

RARA School for the Performing Arts program offers a wide variety of dance classes (preschool, tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, hip hop, and contemporary) for children and adults beginning at 2 ½ years of age. We teach these classes in terms. Our RECITAL TERM begins each September when we enroll students for the two semester program, ending with the “grand finale” – our recitals in June presented at a local high school. Some dancers enjoy non-recital classes taught in 8-16 week terms throughout the year, FALL, WINTER/SPRING AND SUMMER. The SUMMER TERM, provides students the opportunity to strengthen skills or sample new classes in a short 8 week session and begins each June. Annual auditions are held each May for our COMPETITION and ENSEMBLE classes. LOCATION: Dance classes are taught at our Dance Center located at 500 East Second Street, downtown Rochester. The center features four classrooms, parent waiting area, canteen, and ample parking. Each studio classroom has an observation monitor. INSTRUCTORS: Our dance teachers are trained, mature, and sensitive to the needs of both children and adults. They teach to develop technique and self-confidence, not stress, enhancing body image, strength, and agility through dance. Above all, the enjoyment of the performing arts is foremost. ATTENDANCE POLICY: Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. Please make every effort to have students at each class. DRESS CODE POLICY: Dancewear is worn for all classes. Students cannot dance in street clothes. No loose fitting clothing or excessive jewelry, please. Hair must be worn off the neck, out of eyes and must be secured before class. See shoe requirements with the class listings. Detailed dancewear information is available on the our website: www.rararecreation.org MAKE-UP POLICY: There are no make-up or refund opportunities for students who miss class due to illness, travel, family situations, etc. Classes cancelled due to inclement weather conditions cannot be made up or refunded. There will be make-ups scheduled in the event that class is cancelled when an instructor is unable to conduct class.

Next open enrollment for RECITAL TERM CLASSES will be August, 2015
