Fundamental contribution of SACPCMP

• Licence professionals who meet competency requirements through an enhanced and impartial registration procedure much quicker than previously

• Compulsory accreditation of all tertiary programmes that lead to qualifications in construction management and construction project management

• Fulfil the mandate of ‘protecting the public’ from resource wastage and incompetence

Key considerations for June 2013 Summit

• How do we get employers to realise that they are in danger of losing the CM discipline?

• How do we get the building industry employer’s

associations to re-assert their position and demonstrate the significance of the building industry?

• How do we strengthen the CM discipline at universities?

Page 21: Raymond Nkado PhD MBA PrQS Pr.CPM PMAQS MCIOB MRICS President: SACPCMP Director: QualConsul QS

Key considerations for June 2013 Summit

• How do we get the newly created regulation and support bodies in the built environment to realise the critical role and situation regarding Construction Management

• How do we overcome the biased reporting and lack of knowledge and publicity concerning CM and to a lesser extent CPM?
