The following instructions will walk you through setting up the required AMS-RBMware demonstration/Simulation directories and files.

Requirements: AMS must already be installed and licensed for the “CSI RBMware interface”. The “CSI RBMware Interface” requires Windows NT.

1. Double click on the provided file “RBMware.exe”, the following pop-upwindow will appear:

The directory “CustData” contains the following 3 items:

“Example.mdb”: This is the RBMware database.

“DBLookUp.mdb”: This is the RBMware reference database.

“rbm.exe”: This is the RBMware application graphic.

Note: If the RBMware.exe file was copied from a CD, you may need to take the “read-only” attribute off of the extracted files and directories. Select all the files in the C:\RBMsuite\CustData directory by choosing

the ‘Edit’ menu and selecting ‘Select All’ from the menu options. Next choose ‘File’ then ‘Properties’ from the menu options. If the

This view is similar to the view in AMS. The next screen shows the case history of the event "Machine now shows signs of misalignment".The final screen has an Infrared photo of the motor along with trend data.Use this demonstration to generate more interest in the integration of field Instruments with rotating equipment from a single view.
