What is John the Baptist’s role as a testimony to the light?

What questions do the priests and Levites ask John?

What do these questions reveal about the reason why they were sent?

Why does John respond so abruptly?

What would you have said in this situation?

CCC 2042 (a) The first precept ("You shall attend Mass on Sundays and holy days of bligation and rest from servile labor") requires the faithful to sanctify the dayommemorating the Resurrection of the Lord as well as the principal liturgical feastsonoring the Mysteries of the Lord, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the saints; in the firstlace, by participating in the Eucharistic celebration, in which the Christian community isathered, and by resting from those works and activities which could impede such a

anctification of these days.

n addition to presenting the foundations for Christian morality, the Catechism of the

Catholic Church includes a section on the Precepts of the Church. These are rules set inontext of a moral life, bound to and nourished by a liturgical life. The obligatory characthese positive laws decreed by the pastoral authorities is meant to encourage on the par

he faithful the indispensable foundations for their lives as Catholics.Source: United States Catholic Catechism for Adults, pg. 334)
