What is ShareTheRide?ShareTheRide is Valley Metro’s online multimodal trip matching tool. ShareTheRide connects commuters to a secure online matching program that displays carpooling, vanpooling, transit, bicycling and walking options. ShareTheRide provides information so busy Valley commuters can learn how di� erent forms of transportation can meet their travel needs.

ShareTheRide is free of charge for users. The system matches commuters based on travel routes, schedules and preferences with nearly 50,000 active users.

In addition to creating commute matches, ShareTheRide manages online contests for alternative mode users and calculates pollution savings, fuel savings and the fi nancial savings associated with alternative mode use.

What is a ShareTheRide Custom Subsite?A ShareTheRide custom subsite is an online resource to help manage your company’s Travel Reduction Program (TRP) Annual Plan. You can track employee participation, access reports, facilitate contests and more.
