RE Quality Mark Update

• The REQM works at the three levels of Bronze, Silver and gold awards.

• Schools apply for the REQM through the website and trained assessors will visit their school to validate the quality mark.

How the RE Quality Mark works

REQM to the present

• 170 schools are applying for, or have achieved, the REQM Award. Over 70 assessors trained

• Schools achieving the RE Qualiy Mark have had the opportunity to undertake Classroom based research linking with universities: Liverpool Hope, UEEA, Canterbury, Worcester. (funded by Culham St Gabriel)

• Third Annual RE Quality Mark conference for teachers February 2016. Teachers speak on their classroom practice or on their classroom based research. Conference in 2016 will include Farmington Fellows and MA students at Liverpool Hope University (Funded by Hockerill)

Funding

• Originally there was funding for small schools and RI or SM category schools.

• We have just received some further funding and are hoping to apply for more schools to be supported
