(A) Get Ready: Daniel Chapter 1: What Must I Do To Reach One?

1. Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were the four young lads inCAPTIVITY in Babylon.

2. In order to be recognized as somebody in an unfavorable situation,

Daniel Purpose or Determined Not To Defile himself.

3. Thats the starting point for every believer. With such determination YOU

Chapter 2:

(B) When You Are Ready God Is More Then Ready!

1. Daniels assignment from God began after he has proven his heart purpose and

determination.

2. Daniels ONE was King Nebuchadnezzar the toughest NUT to crack!

3. Similarly, Your Assignment from God Begins with your Purpose and

Determination of what you have been challenged for 2010

4. In the case of Daniel it was a case of his powerful boss having a very difficult

problem and no one can find a solution.

5. This is where God used Daniel to step in.6. God gave the answer through Daniel.

7. The dream was identified and interpreted: This was a Gospel Message regarding

the coming a JESUS the ROCK! It talks about all the powerful nations of the

world were brought to nothing by Jesus.

Chapter 2:46-47; 48-49

(C) Several steps Away from UNBELIEF(Dan 2:46) Then King Nebuchadnezzar threw himself down before Daniel and

worshiped him, and he commanded his people to offer sacrifices and burn sweetincense before him.

(Dan 2:47) The king said to Daniel, "Truly, your God is the greatest of gods, the Lord

over kings, a revealerof mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this secret.

(Dan 2:48) Then the king appointed Daniel to a high position and gave him many

valuable gifts. He made Daniel ruler over the whole province of Babylon, as well as chief

over all his wise men.

(Dan 2:49) At Daniel's request, the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

to be in charge of all the affairs of the province of Babylon, while Daniel remained in the

king's court.

Your One Is But Several Steps Away From UNBELIEF1. Did Nebuchadnezzar believe? From the verses we have just read: The answer is

- Yes and No. Meaning he was only moving towards believing. Several steps

away from unbelief!

2. His need was met by God. He was happy. He was grateful more to Daniel thanGod: Enough to give a promotion to Daniel. Even enough to promote Daniels

three friends.

3. Like your Nebuchadnezzar God may answer his needs but NOT necessary a

genuine believer at this stage. He may be impressed with YOU and your God. He

may be grateful for what you have done. But I am not sure that he is genuinely

converted as in the case of King Nebuchadnezzar.

4. Nebuchadnezzar has yet to reach the point that he admits that Jehovah is the

ONE and ONLY God!

5. He was impressed by what Daniel did for him through Jehovah.

6. He acknowledged that Jehovah exits.

7. He is several steps from UNBELIEF

HUMAN NATURE:

1.But human mind forgets very fast. Very often something which appears immenselyimportant to us has no place in our minds shortly afterwards.

2.That is why he at the end of chapter 2 had some profound sense of God, but does notappear to have any at the beginning of Chapter 3

THIS IS HOW HE FORGETS1.King Nebuchadnezzar made a gold statue to be worshiped by all.

2.He seemed to confess his belief in God but looks more like Lip-Service In otherwords, his words from the mouth have not touched his heart.

3.His WILL is not submissive to the words he said (Like a little child: TristanI must

obey. I must not rebel. And he did what he wanted)

Chapter 3 Proves This Point

(D) Shadrachs, Meshachs and Abednegos Personal Testimony1. This Proves Where He was After The First Encounter:

(Dan 3:1) King Nebuchadnezzar made a gold statue ninety feet tall and nine feet wide

and set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon.

2. King Nebuchadnezzar like them enough to give a second chance:

(Dan 3:14) Nebuchadnezzar said to them, "Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and

Abednego, that you refuse to serve my gods or to worship the gold statue I have

set up?

(Dan 3:15) I will give you one more chance to bow down and worship the statue I havemade when you hear the sound of the musical instruments. But if you refuse, you

will be thrown immediately into the blazing furnace. And then what god will be

able to rescue you from my power?

3. From Daniel 3:16- 30 we see the testimonies of these three lads. They said what theymeant and meant what they said. A Powerful Testimony: Through the Fiery Furnace

(E) Several Steps From BELIEF

(Dan 3:28) Then Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and

Abednego! He sent His angel to rescue His servants who trusted in Him. They defied the

king's command and were willing to die rather than serve or worship any god excepttheir own God.

(Dan 3:29) Therefore, I make this decree: If any people, whatever their race or nation or

language, speak a word against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, they

will be torn limb from limb, and their houses will be turned into heaps of rubble. There is

no other god who can rescue like this!

(Dan 3:30) Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to even higher

positions in the province of Babylon.

1. Compare to the first time his second confession is even clearer in terms of

recognizing God as the greatest God.

2. He admits that no other God can deliver or recue like He can.

3. He was on the verge of saying that there is no other God~

4. Yet from his talk there is no indication that he has come to the point of bowing toJehovah and worshipping Him.

5. In his heart of hearts he remains as stubborn as before!

6. So far God has knocked twice on the door of his heart twice it was jarred open. But

the next time God is about to break the hinges that the door cannot be closed again!

7. GOD IS DETREMINED to enter his heart. All because of the four Champions whodare to STAND UP TO HAVE A PURPOSE.

8. First could be a general approach to bring your Nebuchadnezzar friend to Jesus. He

may be impressed. He may be grateful. He even thanked you with appreciations of

all kind. But remember he may be ONLY several steps away from his UNBELIEF.

9. Second could be your personal testimony: Now he may be several steps from

BELIEVING!

(F) A Genuine Believer - Your First Convert

Your Nebuchadnezzar Becomes A New Convert1. The first general sharing leads to the second personal testimony which leads to

Nebuchadnezzar to a PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH GOD.

Chapter 4

This was written after the event of what happened to Nebuchadnezzar.

(Dan 4:1) King Nebuchadnezzar sent this message to the people of every race andnation and language throughout the world: "Peace and prosperity to you!

(Dan 4:2) "I want you all to know about the (SIGNS) miraculous signs and wonders

(Wonderful Effects) the Most High God has performed for me.

He is no longer comparing Jehovah with other gods. His words do not admit

that there are any others.

(G) In The Process of Getting A Genuine Convert

1. This process of getting a genuine convert is very important because unless a

person is genuinely converted it is hard for you to make a disciple of Jesus.

2. You should notice where your friend is at by his speech, his behavior, his

willingness to obey Gods word and his worship of God as the ONLY God.

3. In the process you SHOULD OBSERVE A PECULIAR STREAK IN YOUR

FRIEND.

4. In the case of Daniels Nebuchadnezzar IT WAS PRIDE. This takes TIME to be

broken down.5. Lets look at Nebuchadnezzars Pride

sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honored the One who

pleases among the angels of heaven and among the people of the earth. No one can

stop Him or say to Him, 'What do you mean by doing these things?'

1. In the Promised Land ACCORDING TO YOUR NEEDS -You look

for what you want, you choose what you want, you eat what you

want according to what the Promised Land offers.

to be CHALLENGED, CORRECTED and even COERCED

1.Like Jesus after fasting in the wilderness in the presence of

Satan once he defeated Satan He came out with new power

of the Holy Spirit.2.The disciples in the Upper Room FEAR PEACE be with you

Then on Pentecost they were filled with a new anointing!

3.Fear has to be conquered before new anointing can come into

play.My Cup Overflows:

You will be overflowing Like water into wine
