Program Quality Is Enhanced by Library Collections
Every STLL program is enhanced by the quality of
the collections in the John C. Hitt Library. Terrie
Sypolt, the CEDHP Librarian, works miracles with
a limited budget to keep our collections current.
One standout is the the Mathematics Education
library collection which is second only to MIT. This
and many of the other STLL program collections
are well respected by other institutions. We can
thank the long term efforts of Dr. Rita Buchoff and
Dr. Will Russell for their faculty roles as library
representatives.
Dr. Nicole Olcese was recently appointed as
Faculty Library Representative for the School of
Teaching, Learning & Leadership. Her
responsibilities include working with Terrie Sypolt
and colleagues to evaluate current library holdings
and soliciting and collecting purchase
recommendations for the faculty. Faculty are
invited to send any titles that they’d like to be
considered for acquisition to her at

FLDOE first made a presentation on current FELE
data and second, led an interactive session on Rule
Development 6A-5.081, Approval and Continual
Approval of School Leadership programs. These
two themes were continued into the afternoon to
ensure that FAPEL (on behalf of members) is able
to contribute to the public request for feedback to
the proposed rule changes.
