More Together

Working with children – one of the main priorities of Petar Stapov District Library’s

activities

• they are the most emotional and sincere to perceive everything new and unfamiliar;

• we must teach them to love books and reading as early as possible;

• Today’s children patrons are our tomorrow’s adult patrons.

Because:• children are the part of society most open to knowledge;

The process of creating readers’ habits is long and difficult and would be unsuccessful if it was

unilateral, if we do not have supporters, partners with whom to

walk the road to the book.

Partnership means working together as equal parties, with

lots of passion and enthusiasm in order to achieve the common goal:

To have the book enter children’s lives and stay there forever!

The library’s best friends and partners are children from the schools in the city

and the library is children’s favorite place for useful and pleasant activities.

It is a tradition for the District Library to present and give the floor to gifted and talented children in the field of literature and arts, readers’ and regional studies clubs

“Every child has art in themselves” was the motto of the presentation by the children from Ivan Rilski Secondary School for Children with Impaired Hearing. The children’s songs full of facial expression and gestures and the beautiful dances evoked a lot of applause during concerts and festivals. They prepare for all these events with willingness and invest efforts and diligence .

giving meaning to the long vacation

days Friends in need

are friends indeed. The

library is there for children not only during the

Keeping our joint activities throughout

the yearsWe presented to you a small part of the long road we, the library and the school, travel every year toward the world of books. The road is hard but it is worth every effort. So that we can be together throughout the coming years because together we can do more. So that the book can be with children despite and together with new information technology.
