He is against whaling and dumping nuclear waste in the ocean. He founded the Cousteau Society, which helps to preserve the oceans. He shared his knowledge of the ocean with millions of people. Based on the facts that we can see, there is nothing to suggest he is a bad person.

Jacques Cousteau showed us parts of the ocean that were previously unseen. He developed lots of diving equipment that is used by many people. We may know about our topic Blue Abyss, because of some of his discoveries. He set up the Cousteau Society to help look after our oceans. Without this, I might not be able to go to the seaside and swim in the sea in the same way.
