Key documents 1990-2010

The Fifth Ministerial Conference on Environment and Health in Parma, Italy, 10-

12 March 2010, marks the 20 years since the start of the European process onenvironment and health. This process began in 1989 in Frankfurt with the FirstMinisterial Conference on Environment and Health, which inter alia established

the WHO European Centre for Environment and Health.

This memory stick, prepared on the occasion of the Parma Conference, holds acomprehensive collection of selected technical, policy, legal, press and advocacydocuments produced since the launch of the process in 1989. These documents

are mostly produced directly by WHO/Europe and its environment and healthprogrammes.

Main publications resulting from collaboration with WHO headquarters – both ascontributions to global publications and as translation into official languages for

the European Region (mostly Russian) – and other partnership activities are also

included.

The selection has been made allowing consideration of currently relevant
