MOUNTING

adequate room for the vault door to drop open.
2. If mounting the vault on the left or right side,

Remove the 4 thumb nuts inside of
the vault to remove each side plate.
7
3. Hold the vault in the desired mounted location and use a
pencil to mark the 4 mounting holes on the mounting surface.
4. Move the vault, and pre-drill the 4 marked holes for the
mounting screws.
• For hard woods, use a 5/32” drill bit.
• For soft woods, use a 9/64” drill bit.
5. Place vault over pre-drilled holes, and fasten vault using 4
fasteners and fender washers.
• For mounting into most types of
furniture, the shorter wood
screws will be the easiest
fastener to use.
• For mounting through a wall into a stud, the longer wood screws should be used to fully
engage the stud.
• There are also 4 bolts and nuts included, for mounting scenarios where a through hole
can be drilled and there is access on both sides of the mounting surface to tighten the nuts.
6. If vault is mounted on the left or right side, reinstall the side plate, that is on the opposite
side from the mounting surface. Reinstall the 4 thumb nuts
inside of the vault to secure plate.
