REAL DIGIPAK ANALYSIS

COLOURWhen it comes to colour, I’ve

made sure to use bright colours that you see in summer and

spring: green, yellow, white. This is effective because the colours are bright and they stand out though, they're also, not too

bright that would make the album hard to see.

In this picture you see myself with a black

jumper and bright green leaves which, creates a

contrast in the picture and makes me stand out.

Though, the green is a neutral colour to

emphasise the relaxing music.

The front cover provides a powerful contrast between

the blue and black and white because the blue stands out against the black and white though, the guitar; a bright

orange is the most that attracts the audiences eyes

because its bright and stands out by giving the biggest

glow in the picture.

In this photo I’ve used an effect so

the contrast is bigger and you can see the yellow top is much brighter compared to the dark trees. The

best thing on the picture is the light coming from in-

between the trees. It lights up my face which the audience

can see clearly.

This picture also, has a good contrast

between the black and the yellow. The

yellow is bright and it stands out very much

against the black, which is therefore,

made easier to see. The back cover picture, we have a nice original glow from the sun which, gives us a nice picture. Even though, the colours seem to

merge together, I’m still visible n the middle of the picture.

WHAT GOES ON A DIGIPAK?

Here we have the original six panels in order to create my digipak. We have the spines and in the middle; a picture of flowers on a tree for the image where the CD would be placed.

Here we have the picture

that’s inside the album Here we have

another picture that’s inside the

album.

This is the picture with writing on it

to explain the many thanks I’ve

given to for helping me create this music video. Though, it also,

includes the people who either

were back up vocalist s or the

people who played the

instruments.

In this image we have the barcode included and the recording company; HMV. Next to it I've written that Rachel Rhodes has

been the singer and she has written all this songs except for one. Though, also that its not copyrighted. Finally, on the left side there’s a list of the lyrics from the album which is the most

important thing on the back cover.

This is the most important part if a

digipak where you have to include the title of the album and the name of the artist. Without all of

these, no one would know who the artist was

and therefore, no one would buy Rhodes

album.

TEXT

With the thanks picture where I say thanks to all the people who

contributed to my music video, you can see that the text is in white

and it’s big enough to read and the writing is clear enough to read. I’ve used the same font for all my the pictures I’ve written on, to keep it consistent. The important things

like ‘the band’ and ‘additional musicians’ you can see is in bold to make it stand out. Though, its also easy to read because the font big

enough and not so small.

TEXT

As we can see in this back cover picture, we have the lyrics positioned on the side where the colours also in white and the writing is

clear enough to see. I’ve also, added a little effect; a shadow to the text so, it’s more visible

to the naked eye. The text is against a green and orange background which makes the

writing more visible because the background isn’t bright, it’s dark which makes it easier to

read the text. It also helps to see it better because the font is big. We also, have the

same colour, effect, text and font size at the bottom of the picture. This is where you can

see the links to the artists alum and what she's written and done.

TEXTThis is the front cover of the album which includes the same font, effect

but a different size since, it’s the front and main cover that everyone would see. Therefore, I made sure

that the font size was large enough so, the public would be able to see and read it clearly. The white also,

contrasts the black and white which makes it easier to read because its eye catching. Its positioned high

where the colour in the background gets darker so its easier to see the

white font.
