Don’t go overboard with seasonal decor. “Your home should reflect what is happening outdoors, but you don’t want to add too many things that will detract attention from the fea-tures of the home,” says Jill Valeri, owner of “The Welcome Home” Interior Design Solutions . “For example, add an attractive but sim-ple wreath to the front door or opt for curtains with warm colors and more texture.”
3. Exude the feeling of a luxury resort with sumptuous bed-ding. “Buy fluffy white or cream-colored “hotel” linens,” says Starr C. Osborne is the author of Home Staging That Works. “You will be amazed how this will perk up your décor.”
4. Brighten up. “As the days grow shorter, make sure you have generous artificial light to supplement daylight,” says Valeri.
5. Warm up the room. “Painting a room a warmer color can dras-tically change the atmosphere,” says Yang.
