and passive real estate investors—both domestic and
foreign—in private equity arrangements. Among our
clients are institutional real estate investors, including
pension funds and their advisors and specialized real
estate investment trusts (REITs) and funds.
Our Services
We work with clients to optimize the terms of each
investment and to prioritize their goals within the unique
framework each deal presents. By representing
numerous types of investors in a wide variety of
investments, our attorneys are able to see the market
from multiple perspectives and to respond quickly with
practical solutions that move deals forward.
Our attorneys structure and negotiate joint venture and
program investment arrangements; conduct due
diligence; and prepare documentation for the acquisition,
conveyance, management and financing arrangements
involved at each stage of the investment.
Our Experience
Representation of a real estate private equity firm in
the $633 million sale of the office condo portion of a
New York high-rise, $650 million purchase and
financing of a Manhattan office tower, and the $385
million sale of a 16-story office building in Lower
Manhattan.
Representation of an alternative investment firm in
13 separate transactions for the $500 million sale of
34 properties, including office, hotel, industrial, retail
and multifamily properties plus a manufactured
home park and entitled land parcels.
