Singapore Math (Grade 2-3)

Singapore Math is extremely clear, highly logical and sequential, with a strong focus on "mental math." Students learn problem solving as the centerof math learning and concepts taught with a concrete–pictorial–abstract learning progression through real-world, hands-on experiences.get theright amount of practice without too much repetition. Challenging word problems build thinking skills and students apply math in a variety ofsituations. The program teaches geometry throughout. Singapore Math (Grade 4-5)

Cancellation Policy:

When fewer than eight participants register for a program, the Activities Director may have to cancel the class for the term. Notice will be sent to all participantswho have indicated interest in the class as early as possible so they may register for another program if desired. Participants do not have the option of a trialclass. If a participant drops out of a course after the first class, the course fee will be partly reimbursed, but the cost of classes attended plus a cancellation feeof € 20 will be deducted from such reimbursement. After four weeks, no reimbursement will be given. The cancellation fee will be waived if a participant simplytransfers to another activity within the REAL After School Activities Program. Please contact the Activities Director immediately if you must drop a class. Shouldan instructor need to cancel a class ahead of time, they will contact the participants so alternative arrangements can be made. For unforeseen cancellations dueto illness, emergency, or weather, students in Grades 5 and below will join the Kids Club. The Parents must make alternate arrangements for supervision ofstudents in Grades 6-8. If the lesson is cancelled, the instructor will make up the missed lesson. If this is not possible, the Activities Director will reimburse thestudents. When a participant simply misses a class, there will be no alternate lesson or reimbursement.
